* For someone who was quick to complain about the Ravens offensive inadequacies, it was pretty ironic that Derrick Mason dropped a probably 75 yard touchdown pass on arguably the best deep ball Joe Flacco has thrown in his career.

* The Ravens offensive line apparently has some significant issues to address. They can’t seem to open up any space for their backs and pass protection is sieve-like. They also seem to have major struggles pre-snap picking up linebackers or d-backs blitzing off the edge. Michael Oher is struggling to adjust perhaps more so than any other member of the offensive line.

* Joe Flacco was sacked 5 times on 38 drop backs/pass plays; comparatively speaking Matt Schaub was sacked 2 times on 64 drop backs. Only 8 teams have allowed more sacks than the Ravens (32). Joe Flacco was sacked 36 times in 2009 and 33 times in 2008.

* Cam Cameron or Joe Flacco or both seem to think that passes over the middle are on par with planes flying over the Bermuda Triangle. Rarely do the run comebacks or curls in the middle. They did it one time and it resulted in a 20 plus yard gain by Mason.

* Even before his game winning pick 6, Josh Wilson played well as did Lardarius Webb. The same can’t be said for Ed Reed or Dawan Landry.

* The Ravens only had 4 offensive plays in the third quarter yet outscored the Texans 7-6. Ravens had 61 yards on 17 second half plays; the Texans had 301 yards of offense in 2nd half on 53 plays.

* With the Ravens defense obviously gassed (Jarrett Johnson made Matt Schaub look like Mike Vick) you have to wonder why John Harbaugh didn’t use one of his timeouts to give his defense a needed breather. If you don’t think they were tired, just look how much more explosive they were after regulation and one 6 play stalled drive to open up overtime. That coin toss win was one of the biggest in team history, all things considered.

* The Texans dropped 7 passes on the night; a couple that would have been third down conversions and another that should have been a touchdown by Jacoby Jones.
