Jen Royle who covers the Ravens for 105.7 The Fan is being considered for a prime job in Boston. This according to the Boston Globe this morning:

“Jen Royle, a reporter and pregame host for Baltimore station 105.7 The Fan’s Orioles and Ravens coverage, is a serious candidate for one of the vacancies at NESN. A Boston native, Royle has also covered the Yankees for the YES Network and the Orioles for MASN. Bringing her back to her hometown would be a savvy move for NESN, which bade farewell to Kathryn Tappen and will do the same to Jade McCarthy.”

Word also has it that there could also be a bidding war for her talents between radio station WEEI and 98.7FM The Hub. They are Boston’s two top sports stations and both have shown great interest in having Royle join their team.

At present there is no timetable given for any possible move by Royle who has said me many times that she loves Baltimore and the passionate fans.

So for now we will enjoy her contributions to all the shows on 105.7. The Fan and we will let you know when something changes.

Also despite the famous quote from Thomas Wolfe “You can go home again.”
