OWINGS MILLS ~ Ravens veteran strong safety Bernard Pollard’s three-year contract extension is worth $12.3 million and includes a $3 million signing bonus.
The deal averages $3.416 million annually.
Pollard’s base salary for this year has been reduced to $700,000 from $1.55 million, but he was already paid a $500,000 roster bonus in March.
His salary-cap figure for 2012 is $1.95 million.
In 2013, Pollard is due a $2 million base salary with a $3.25 million salary-cap figure. There’s also a $500,000 roster bonus.
In 2014, Pollard’s base salary goes up to $2.8 million with a $3.55 million salary-cap figure.
In 2015, Pollard is due a $2.8 million base salary with a $3.55 million salary-cap figure.
The Ravens have signed 20 undrafted rookie free agents heading into a rookie minicamp that started Friday.
That includes the following players: Texas fullback Jamison Berryhill (5-11, 230), Florida quarterback John Brantley (6-3, 218), North Carolina cornerback Charles Brown (5-9, 202), Marshall safety Omar Brown (5-11, 195), Illinois offensive lineman Jack Cornell (6-6, 315), Clemson fullback Chad Diehl (6-1, 257), Auburn linebacker Eltoro Freeman (Auburn), Slippery Rock wide receiver Devin Goda (6-2, 225), Syracuse wide receiver Dorian Graham (5-9, 188), Alabama-Birmingham defensive lineman Elliott Henigan (6-4, 280), Baylor nose guard Nicolas Jean-Baptiste (6-1, 329), Kent State nose guard Ishmaa’ily Kitchen (6-1, 334), Mississippi State offensive lineman Addison Lawrence (6-4, 300), Clemson offensive guard Antoine McClain (6-5, 329), Nebraska defensive end Terrence Moore (6-3, 290), Wake Forest running back Brandon Pendergrass (5-9, 200), Syracuse tight end Nick Provo (6-4, 249), Wake Forest safety Cyhl Quarles (6-3, 210), Western Kentucky running back Bobby Rainey (5-8, 205) and Florida wide receiver Deonte Thompson (6-0, 200).
Several other players are at the minicamp on a tryout basis, including rookies who have announced that they have signed with the Ravens.
According to the Ravens, former University of Texas kicker Justin Tucker connected on a 55-yard field goal.
Tucker told 24×7 he signed with the Ravens over competing offers from the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys.
