Jah Reid hasn’t played a game this season, tormented by a calf injury that has set him back since the offseason.
The offensive lineman recently began practicing fully with the Ravens, which gives coach John Harbaugh more options as his team has struggled to protect quarterback Joe Flacco. He has been sacked 18 times this season.
“I feel good at either spot,” Reid said when asked if he prefers to play at right guard or right tackle, where he is the backup to starters Marshal Yanda and Kelechi Osemele. “Just make sure I get the right sets, the right footwork and I’m good.”
Of course, playing guard is a bit easier because of the proximity to center Matt Birk.
“You’re close to the center, you hear the calls,” he said. “It’s better as far as relaying information. It’s cool being in there against the bigger guys. You’re really mashing up against somebody.”
