Street Talk Ravens lack trust in Flacco

Posted in Street Talk

AT HOME against the Pittsburgh Steelers leading 13-6, the Baltimore Ravens with 3 timeouts in tow and 26 seconds left at the end of the 1st half chose to take a knee at their own 24.

Conversely the Philadelphia Eagles with rookie quarterback Nick Foles at the controls ON THE ROAD in Dallas making his fourth career start (the previous 3 were all losses) faced a first and 10 at his own 17 with 3 timeouts 35 seconds remaining in the half, leading 14-10.

Six plays, 58 yards and 32 seconds later kicker Alex Henery connected from 43 yards out to make it 17-10 Eagles.

Last week against the Chargers at the end of regulation, the Ravens faced a first and 10 at the Chargers 23 with 27 seconds remaining. The Ravens took one shot in the end zone and then facing a second and 10 with 21 seconds remaining and a timeout to spare, they decided to run the clock down to 3 seconds.

The bottom line is that the Ravens really don’t trust Joe Flacco because if they did, they wouldn’t champion such play-not-to-lose behavior.

And this is the franchise quarterback that Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti plans to open the vault for?
