As the Ravens head into the postseason wide receiver Anquan Boldin still finds the time to give back to the community.

The Anquan Boldin Foundation, along with Prep & Sports, Inc., are hosting  the inaugural High School – Clash of Scholar Athletes. This highly anticipated event will serve as a means of bringing young football players together, encouraging academic excellence, sportsmanship as well as youth empowerment.

This All-Star week  promotes a competitive but positive environment. The student athletes involved in the event will have a week long of football training with an opportunity to be coached by both experienced trainers and professional athletes.  Additionally, the students conduct daily professional seminars presented by financial advisor, accountant and lawyer and media experts in an effort to expose the student athletes to other professions and life practices.

“This All-Star football event is like the Pro Bowl in the NFL,” says Boldin.  “The student-athletes were carefully chosen in this matter based on academics and skill, no exceptions.  We want players to feel accomplished they’ve earned a position on the team and while also to those that don’t make the cut that this game be an incentive for next season.”

The event will conclude on Saturday, January 5, 2013 with the Prep & Sports All Star Game. The game will be held at the Boca Raton Community High School, located in Boca Raton, Florida.

This entire event speaks true to Anquan’s character. Not only does the veteran receiver care about providing football lessons, it is the life lessons that he provides that show he truly cares.
