The Ravens are headed to the Super Bowl and the excitement around town has been plentiful to say the least.
Before the team attends their sendoff rally Monday afternoon at the Inner Harbor prior to departing for New Orleans, one fan did something extremely unselfish to ensure her favorite team got to the Super Bowl as healthy as possible.
Toni Ziolkowski and her friend Charlene Osborne had planned on attending Dinner with Torrey Smith and Corey Graham at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood in Dundalk. The dinner was one of many Jimmy’s has done all season long and was part of their current series, “Four Nights of Festivus,” a celebration with Ravens players. While Ziolkowski had been extremely excited to attend, she also woke up feeling ill, and didn’t want to risk any chance of spreading her germs to Smith or Graham – who just happen to be preparing for their biggest football game of their lives.
In Ziolkowski’s absence, Osborne still attended and created a sign to spread her ill friend’s Ravens pride. Even though Ziolkowski wasn’t there in person, she still came in spirit.
As you can see by the larger picture below, Smith and Graham posed with Osborne’s sign as a sign of their appreciation and thoughtfulness during this critical time.
Surely, John Harbaugh, Ozzie Newsome and the rest of the Ravens front office, along with fans throughout Baltimore, are extremely happy with Ziolkowski’s unselfish act as it’s likely her germs could have spread. We just hope that Graham and Smith drenched their hands in Purell after leaving the event and coming into contact with so many people.
So Toni Ziolkowski, Ravens Nation thanks you for your unselfish act and we’re happy you were still able to get a picture with Torrey and Corey – even though you stayed as far away as possible.
