Wednesday proved to be a very busy day for Baltimore Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones.
Not only did Jones sign his second-round restricted free agent tender, but the 6-foot-3 and-315 pound gentle giant was one of a few Ravens to bring smiles to some critically ill children on a special night.
Jones once again teamed up with the Casey Cares Foundation and shared a night of fun at the The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus in Baltimore.
Jones, who has been involved with the Casey Cares Foundation since October of last season, understands the struggles these childern and families go through.
“A lot of people look at me as an athlete but I’m just a regular person, just like them. Everyone has their own problems to battle with and anyway I can help out, that’s what I’m here for,” said Jones.
Arthur flew into town from Syracuse, New York – where he has been busy doing offseason workouts preparing for the upcoming season – for this event.
Throughout my time covering Arthur in the community he has often expressed how important it is for him to show the families and children a good time and try to take their minds off the daily struggles they face.
With Jones signing his tender it assures the Ravens and the community have him around for at least one more year bringing smiles to faces both on the field and off.
