Ray Rice will be hosting his 2nd Annual Ray Rice Day at Calvert Hall College High School on Saturday May 11 from 8am until noon.

The day will feature football related activities, skills drills, and non-contact 7 on 7′s, as well as fitness and nutrition information for both boys and girls ages 7-13 provided by Ray, his teammates, his high school coaches, and other volunteer coaches from the Towson University football program. Approximately 600 kids are expected to attend this free event, one that was filled via online registration within 3 minutes.

However, fans can still attend the event because this year accommodations have been made for the general public to purchase tickets for just $5 on a first come, first served basis up to 3,000 people. Also new this year is a special “camp within the camp” for a small group of special needs children. These children have gone through physical and mental challenges that normally prevent them from participating in events such as these.

Non-perishable food donations will also be collected at the gate and donated to the local food bank.

my son was one of 500 kids selected for this event. My family was very excited until my request for the day off work was declined due to it being mothers day weekend. we live on the eastern shore and planned to get a hotel room frday night . my wife has a horrible fear of the bay bridge and can never drive over it herself. Shes a huge Rice fan and was looking forward to meeting him. needless to say she now hates my job.
