The Ravens got some good news on the injury front today, as MRIs on DE Chris Canty (thigh), CB Chykie Brown (knee), and LB Arthur Brown (chest) revealed that all three are dealing with strains, and nothing more serious.

On the Texans’ side, head coach Gary Kubiak seems optimistic that WR Andre Johnson – who suffered a concussion at the hands of former Raven Bernard Pollard on Sunday against Tennessee – will be ready to go on Sunday. “He’s expected to practice with the team tomorrow,” Kubiak said, per Clifton Brown of CSNBaltimore.com. “He should be ready to go (Sunday).”

Speaking of former Ravens safeties, Ed Reed has yet to suit up for his new team, but most expect that he will be doing so this week. You can include Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb, Reed’s former pupil, among that group.

“He’s going to be out there,” Webb told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. “He’s been saving himself for this game, most definitely. It will be strange seeing him on the other side. We all wish he was still here. I know I do.”

Here’s the Injury Report Status for Wednesday (today).

As for Ed Reed , the fact that he will be at the stadium as RL52 goes into the Ring Of Honor is a good thing. I never wanted to see Ed in a different uniform however I do know it is the business side of the NFL. I for one will cheer Ed when he takes the field or when he walks to the sidelines. Maybe if he does not play this week it is out of respect for the Ravens Fans so we do not have to watch him in another teams colors. My mind says I hope he plays, however my heart hopes he sits this one out.

Thanks for the update. The biggest one as far as I'm concerned though is Duane Brown. Any insights? What's your gut on how likely he plays?
