Injury Report WEDNESDAY INJURY REPORT: Ravens vs. Bengals

Well, the Ravens failed to take advantage of the division-leading Cincinnati Bengals coughing up a game in Miami last Thursday night, losing to the Browns in Cleveland. More good news for Cincy? They had a mini-bye to prepare for the Ravens – an extra few days of rest to get ready to come into Baltimore with the chance to really pile the dirt on the Super Bowl Champs’ hopes in 2013.

However, even an extra few days of rest won’t be enough to help the Bengals’ biggest loss from that Dolphins game. Defensive tackle Geno Atkins tore his ACL in South Florida, and Cincy will be without the services of arguably the best defensive tackle in the NFL for the remainder of the season.

Dynamic rookie running back Giovani Bernard was also hurt in that game, suffering a rib injury. Though he returned to practice on Wednesday, it remains to be seen if he’ll have any lingering effects on Sunday. Linebacker Rey Maualuga, who sprained an MCL in Week 8 and hasn’t played since, could go Sunday according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

The Bengals come into M&T Bank Stadium banged up. Will the Ravens be able to take advantage this time, though?
