Street Talk Ravens Beat Vikings; Justin Tucker Punts Ball Into Stands (GIF)

After being most of the offense in wins over the New York Jets (four field goals), and Pittsburgh Steelers (five field goals), Ravens kicker Justin Tucker had a pretty uneventful Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Much to the dismay of those of us who, like me, have Justin on our fantasy football teams, the second-year man out of Texas didn’t attempt a single field goal Sunday. Not only that, but he even had one of his extra-point attempts vultured when John Harbaugh decided to go for two following Dennis Pitta’s touchdown catch.

You can forgive young Justin, then, for adding his own exclamation point to what was arguably the most ridiculous two minutes in NFL history.

Here’s Justin after Albert McClellan tackled the Vikes’ Matt Asiata on the final kick return:

Justin could be expecting a fine from the league after this one, unfortunately. As Zach Wilt points out in the BSR link above, 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree and running back Frank Gore received $10,500 fines for throwing footballs in the stands after scoring last season.

Anyone know who caught the punt?

UPDATE: Here are Pat and Jim Craig, the lucky guys who caught it!

When did this happen? Back in the day, the BALTIMORE COLTS used to throw footballs into the stands a lot! WTH? The fans used to tear down the goal posts too! I don't imagine that's even possible anymore but not be able to throw a football into the stands? Or kick one? I think that was great that he did that! The NFL Is a power whore and a money grubbing killjoy these days! I LOVE MY RAVENS!

If fined I would definitely appeal that, asking what possible effect it had on the progress of the (now completed) game . . .

lol wut? Why is this a bad thing (punting the football to the crowds)???????? So many other sports (e.g. Tennis players throwing shoes, wristbands, heck even raquets; Rugby and soccer players throwing gear, etc) do this and its considered a good thing. Why must the NFL be the one league in the world with a stick up its arse?

Jacoby caught it most likely and took it back to the house
