As the Ravens prepare to take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Monday Night Football, they returned to the practice field on Thursday for the first time since their epic back-and-forth win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
After the insanity of the final two minutes that day, you can bet that the players were thankful for the extra day of rest. The only player missing from action in Owings Mills today was linebacker Elvis Dumervil. Dumervil did not practice at all last week, and sat out Sunday after injuring his ankle on Thanksgiving night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Ravens fans are hoping that “Doom” will be able to go on Monday night, when his services will be very much in demand as the Ravens try to slow down the Lions’ high-flying aerial attack. It will have been nearly 11 full days between snaps for Dumervil, so let’s all cross our fingers that he’s had enough time to recover by then.
According to Matt Zentiz of the Carroll County times, Dumervil hopes to give it a go tomorrow.
Other than Dumervil, the Ravens are quite healthy (especially for Week 15), listing only three players on their injury report.
Up in Motown, the Lions are a bit more banged up, with seven players missing practice Thursday, and two others participating on only a limited basis. Of the non-participants, the biggest name is Reggie Bush, who missed last week’s game against Philadelphia.
Here are the full practice injury reports for Thursday:
