Haloti Ngata is primed to have a big season.
In 2014 he will be playing to preserve the balance of his contract or better still, an extension that like his best friend on the team, Terrell Suggs, will allow him to retire as a Raven.
Things are shaping up nicely for Ngata and he should benefit from many things outside of his control. DeAngelo Tyson is a surprise developmental player and continues to improve. Brandon Williams is more prepared for the NFL after not playing against elite collegiate talent. And then there’s the promising rookie Timmy Jernigan.
These players on the rise will keep Ngata on the sidelines longer and preserve him for the 4th quarter and better still, December and beyond.
But that doesn’t mean that the Ravens 5-time All Pro is taking anything for granted as evidence by his conditioning and this workout with a 150 pound dumbbell.
