Breshad Perriman’s Vine – A Message for Ravens Fans
In case you haven’t heard, the Ravens drafted Central Florida receiver, Breshad Perriman with the 26th pick in the 1st round of the NFL Draft last night.
He is looking forward to getting started and has a message for us fans:
Joseph Juan of numberFire asks and answers this question. The answer is no – he will be more than that. Joseph seems to think that Breshad Perriman is a better option than Torrey and compares him to A.J. Green but with more speed. If Perriman becomes even close to the receiver that A.J. Green is, it would be well worth the pick. LINK
Jason Marcum of Bleacher Report predicts the rest of the Ravens draft picks. Before P.J. Williams was charged with a DUI (and the subsequent dropping of those charges), our Kyle Casey said that Williams might be a good option for the Ravens in the first round. In Jason’s mock draft, he has P.J. Williams going to the Ravens in the third round. That would be quite a steal. LINK
Ryan Mink, Keith Mills, and John Eisenberg react to the Ravens’ selection of Breshad Perriman. Ryan Mink states that the Ravens “smokescreened him” prior to the draft by saying they weren’t desperate for a wide receiver. Then he acknowledges that it probably wasn’t a smokescreen and that he was the best player on their board. LINK
This chart from Three Sigma Sports aims to quantify athleticism by giving it a ranking called pSPARQ. Breshad Perriman comes in 5th in this draft behind notable players like Chris Conley and Sammie Coates. According to the chart, Perriman is more athletic than 94.7% of NFL receivers. LINK
