John Elway has always been a bit of an elitist. His aristocratic snobbery has been apparent since his senior year as a Stanford Cardinal and right on through the 1983 NFL Draft when he refused to become a Baltimore Colt.

Part of his snot-nosed reasoning is grounded in the buzz (pun intended) surrounding then Colts owner Robert Irsay. Elway heard the persistent gossip about Irsay’s regular impairment and its effects on the team and the franchise and Elway wanted no parts of it.

Irsay, the Chicago-bred tippler, was often cloaked in a fog of Beefeater gin and his slurred speech was anything but eloquent, often stumbling through words when questioned about the team.

Funny how things come full circle…

Fast forward to, June 23, 2016, when Elway was leaving Craig’s in LA, TMZ Sports asked an obviously sloshed Elway about his thoughts on Von Miller cutting Elway out of a White House picture following the Broncos’ team visit to La Casa Obama.

Take a look…

And then there’s Ben Affleck who on Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons takes up for his bestie Tom Brady, defending Mr. Bundchen and his alleged role in Deflate Gate, labeling it a smear campaign.

Really?

Why would the NFL and/or Roger Goodell launch such a campaign against a player that the league has spent over a decade protecting, coddling and showcasing time and time again to drive ratings and line the owners’ pockets with more money?

Why would they seek to suspend a player who is arguably the best quarterback in league history at their own expense, if Tommy Boy did absolutely nothing wrong?

It makes no sense nor did Affleck, particularly his rationale for Brady smashing his cell phone after the Commissioner’s Office requested to examine it.

Affleck is obviously four sheets to the wind because he’s such a bad actor he could never pretend to be as drunk as he is in the video below.

Take a look but beware, he drops the F-bomb so frequently Andrew Dice Clay might blush.

And last and probably least there’s Johnny Football. Or is should we say Johnny 8-Ball?

Never mistaken for the sharpest tool in the shed, Manziel’s life of booze, dope and beating on women continues to spiral out of control but this time, one of the guys hired to try and help him throws more fuel on an already raging fire.

Manziel’s attorney Bob Hinton, accidentally sent a very detailed text message to a reporter of the Associated Press that included damaging details, all intended to be sent to another attorney.

Here are the highlights of that message per TMZ Sports:

• Hinton said his team is seeking a plea deal in the Colleen Crowley domestic violence case … and that the D.A. is “very interested in working with us to arrive at some agreement.”

• Hinton suggested Manziel would be in trouble if one of the terms of the plea deal included drug testing … saying, “Heaven help us if one of the conditions is to pee in a bottle.”

• In the text, Hinton also refers to a receipt from a Dallas head shop called The Gas Pipe — suggesting Johnny spent $1,018.77 at the shop, which sells everything from pipes to bongs and other stoner stuff.

• Hinton also said there was “conflict” as to whether Johnny actually went to police after his alleged hit-and-run crash Monday night.

Manziel’s Dad believes the best place for his son is jail, otherwise his future is bleak.
