Baltimore Celebrates Grand Reopening of Hard Rock Cafe

Bright lights, a red carpet, and a slew of celebrities invaded downtown Baltimore on Tuesday night all to celebrate the Grand Reopening of the Baltimore Hard Rock Café to benefit the Casey Cares Foundation.

Hard Rock officially announced the Grand Reopening of its Baltimore location with a concert by Imagine Dragons. Additionally, to celebrate the opening of the new cafe, the evening’s performers and special guests christened the new café by smashing 16 defective, non-playable guitars representing Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore’s 16 years of service to the city.

Several current and former Baltimore Ravens players were on hand last night including Justin Tucker, Morgan Cox, A.Q. Shipley, Matt Stover and Kyle Richardson.

“Casey’s great,” remarked Tucker. “I can’t speak highly enough of the great things she does for so many kids and it is an honor to help her out anyway we can.”

After a speech by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a special announcement was made that the Baltimore Hard Rock donated a check for $10,000 to the Casey Cares Foundation.

“We want to do anything we can to help out and help put smiles on peoples faces and when we are not playing football it is important to give back,” Ravens’ center A.Q. Shipley replied when asked about helping Casey Cares.

The Casey Cares Foundation has a dedicated team of caring staff with years of experience in the field of helping critically ill children, many of whom volunteer their time.
