With all the talk surrounding Anquan Boldin so far this off-season the Ravens wide receiver is once again giving back worldwide.
Boldin, along with Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, have teamed up once again to continue their relief efforts with international relief and developmental relief organization Oxfam America.
Joining Boldin and Fitzgerald this year on their three-day trip to Senegal will also be Falcons star Roddy White. While on their mission the trio will work to improve local communities as well as increasing their income and ensuring food security.
“I’m looking forward to my second trip to Africa with Oxfam and the opportunity to make an impact within the communities we visit,” stated Boldin. “Getting together again with Larry, and being joined by Roddy is a blessing. It is our duty to help those less fortunate whether they’re here at home or elsewhere in the world.”
During their trip they NFL stars will learn ways the communities are working together to reduce vulnerbility to disasters.
Building on last year’s visit to Ethiopia, both Boldin and Fitzgerald generated tens of thousands of dollars for the food crisis that hit the nation hard.
No matter how the Boldin issue plays out one thing is for sure the Ravens are lucky to have him not just on the field but off as well. Boldin, along with Fitzgerald and White, exemplify the true meaning of player positives, not just in their own backyards but worldwide.
