Bisciotti presser Rob Car Getty Images
Steve, obviously this is a pretty aggressive approach. Why did you guys choose in this manner to respond to this story? (Jeff Zrebiec) “You think our response was aggressive?” No, but why did you choose this manner to do this? (Jeff Zrebiec) “I’m not following you.” Why did you feel this step was necessary? (Jeff Zrebiec) “Because our integrity has been brought into question. Seems to me last week I was here, and our competence was being brought into question. From that article, it was obvious that now our integrity...

Message to the Fans from the Baltimore Ravens

Bisciotti
We at the Ravens have promised to be open, candid and transparent with our fans, sponsors, ticket holders, and the general public. This past Friday, ESPN.com’s “Outside the Lines” feature ran a story entitled, Rice case: purposeful misdirection by the team, scant investigation by NFL. Later that day, we released this statement: “The ESPN.com ‘Outside the Lines’ article contains numerous errors, inaccuracies, false assumptions and, perhaps, misunderstandings. The Ravens will address all of these next week in Baltimore after our trip to Cleveland for Sunday’s game against the Browns.” What follows is our response....

A Tornado Won’t Crush Their Resolve

Screen Shot 2013-11-22 at 4.08.50 PM
We hear Ravens head coach John Harbaugh tell us after every loss how the team has to get better and they will work to do exactly that. He uses words like “adversity” and “accountability” when discussing issues confronting the team and obstacles preventing wins. During the Ravens at Bears contest last week, many fans and observers of the team viewed the threatening Chicago weather as an inconvenience preventing the continuation of the game. Some folks on Facebook who suggested that the game be postponed were scoffed at. “This is football...

TALE OF THE TAPE: Sizzle Time!

Suggs Wallpaper
Sizzle is back. After what seemed to be a lost 2012 season in which he missed the first half of the year due to a torn Achilles, Terrell Suggs is back to 2011 form. Just like 2011, Suggs may be on track to win the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award for the second time in three years. With seven sacks through five games, Suggs looks as good as ever as a pass rusher, and at his current pace, he would be primed to tie or even break Michael...
