[The Ravens had planned on sticking with a team introduction for the entire season, but fans and players alike gave it a lukewarm reception at the preseason opener. Team officials said they likely will return to announcing individual starters because there has been a groundswell of support from players to do so.
"My teammates look for that," Lewis said of the dance. "It says this is our battle line. This is our general. And we follow. When I come out, that's the mind-set."]
It is sounding as if popular concensus from players and fans could bring back the Ray Dance and individual intros.

Sigh. I already don't know that I like that attitude. Once again it's about Ray Lewis, not the team.

Yeah, his team focus didn't even last til regular season. He's a heck of a player but I could sure live without the attitude.

I don't know, Ray on the sidelines was interacting with both offensive and defensive players on the sidelines tonite instead of just standing off to himself. Looked more like the Ray of old.

Isnt the "Ray of old" the selfish; I cant play unless I have good people around me, so all I have to do is tackle and not have to shed blocks Ray???
Holy crap am I tired of your mouth. Go troll YBR loser.
Didn't take long, Burgh. Why are you on here trying to start trouble? Yes, it is different when Ravens fans talk about Ray. If you don't know why you are helpless.

I am not starting trouble. Why does it bother you so much if somebody talks about something Ray ray has said over and over again??
Internet Troll: A troll is a person who makes inflammatory or comments, which by effect or design cause disruptions in discourse, or a post made by such a person.
You are not here to debate or converse, you are here to disrupt and inflame Ravens fans.
Go Away.

This is a non smack board. While on here I will talk about fact base stuff. I will call the city, team, players and coach's by their rightful name.
While saying nothing but negative things about them.
Edit: I noticed that BurghSouth just said we'll win a road game in another thread. While not really a stretch it could be construed as positive. Still, I'm leery from his YBR experience.
As far as the individual intro's and The Dance, I'm all for them. Its a great spectacle, rewards the starting players and pumps the crowd up to 11.

I thought he was banned from YBR for sending racist messages to a female poster on the board.

Since this board was established for the purpose of having civilized discussions about our Ravens another option we might consider trying with this troll is to simply IGNORE everything he says and not acknowledge his feeble attempts for attention. Putting him on your ignore list only helps marginally since if someone else who doesn't have him on ignore responds to him there is a tendancy to get sucked into the conflict. Just a thought....

The speed with which he located this new board confirms suspicions that he's a closet Ravens fan. Either that, or his hatred for us has led to an obsession, like Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes.
Either way, he's a proven troll, mysoginist, racist, broken-record chump and as this board was created for people not like him, I move for immediate banishment rather than messing around for a week or two before banning him. Then he can go back to posting his two takes on the AFCN Rant over and over and over and over again.
Actually, having taken a quick look back at the thread, I think he has been.

He is now on everybody's ignore list. He can post away but only the moderators will get to see them.

The ignore feature works like a charm. I don't even see any of those posts and I haven't even placed him on ignore.
Getting back to subject, I have to agree with Ron Long of WNST. Coming out as a group is a signature of the Patriots. It works for them. Our signature, as Rob puts it, is a bunch of great individuals coming together as a unit. "Organized confusion," as Rob puts it.
We tried the group intro and it does seem to work for us. Let's go back to the individual intros.
Anyway, it is more important that we are a unit during the games.

Why all this fuss over the player intros? When it really comes down to it - who cares. It was really ridiculous last season for a 6-10 team to have all that showboating and hooplah when the result on the field was pathetic. I think a bigger concern for the team should be correcting the penalties committed last night and the piss-poor 2 minute offense instead of whether or not Ray gets to dance before the game.

Last night was lame when the teams just ran out. The "sucks" chant is definitely something we should keep. I can live without Ray's dance, but I like the individual intros. E.g. Steve McNair's intro on opening day would get the crowd fired up.

WOW! that is awesome you mods have eally come up with a fantastic board here. I used the ignore feature on Sunspot with Oldman19 but still could gtet the gist of things just by the reactions of other posters so it still irked me. This is great, nobody has to see them... awesome!

The whole racist thing came about when I said the media would have played the race card if a city cheered a black injured number one pick so a career white back up could come in. Everybody knows its true, but few will admit it.
Sadly, I have to agree. But that's only because I have ZERO faith in our media looking at something objectively. Unfortunately their job now is to create drama and give their "talking heads" something to scream at each other about.
I thought BurghSouth was on the universal ignore feature?

I want to see individual intors return. I would like to see the opening day with the offense to see Steve McNair intro tear the house down. Hey RAVENS officals are you listening ? What a way to open this season.

Ray is a natural leader. Let him lead.
