I see on the news that Ernesto is heading your way with lots of rain and flooding. Hope you all stay safe and as dry as possible.

I just hope it doesn't turn into another Isabel.

It actually hasn't been that bad so far -- steady rain but not heavy at all. It might pick up, but so far it's less than expected.

Yeah, hopefully it stays relatively calm.

I cancelled a trip down to Virginia Tech today, I figured it would suck to be driving 4-5 hours in a tropical storm!

We just put the flood gates up here at the aquarium. No one thinks we will need them, but everyone has been a little touchy since Izzy came through.

I'm looking forward to the ride home tonight during rush hour. This should be fun.

AZ - thanks for the well wishes. We should be fine. (Knock on wood.)

It's early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I've got to leave
It's time for a show

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He's licking his lips
He's ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Rock you like a hurricane...

Well I live in Fell's Point, so hopefully we won't get flooded as badly as when Isabel came through town. Fortunately for me, the water stopped a half block short of my house.

I'm most pissed off because I had taken the afternoon off to play golf this afternoon. Instead I'm stuck in the office doing my online fantasy draft. Could be worse, I guess.

Well, Fells, at least you aren't working so it could be a whole lot worse.

Power just came on after being off about 4 hours. Looks like it's calming down a little bit. Still windy as hell though.

My lights have been flickering but haven't gone out YET.

The drive home was miserable.

We've had inches of rain already at my house and the wind blew the tarp off my neighbor's construction project, an addition on his house. I'm glad I have a real roof.

I do wish I was a cat person, though. Dealing with dogs who need to go out during a tropical storm is NOT fun.

Yeah tell me about it. I had a brilliant plan of taking my Pugs out under the trees in my backyard, but that plan fell through when I found out the leaves weren't stopping the rain.

We had one of our window screens blow off, and alot of limbs in the yard, other than that no real damage.

Took me over two hours to go from Highland to Hagerstown....I left at 2:30 and didn't arrive home until nearly 5 PM. Normally takes me about an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half....accidents were the main culprit...especially near and around Fredrick.

What fun....:179421:

Windy and rainy as hell here on the beach. It seems worse than Isabell, although everything we read says that the winds are only 35 mph--sure seems like more. The building behind us has lost almost their entire garage ceiling--the debris is strewn up and down the street al the way to Coastal Highway. Fortunately no loss of power so we're watching the SF/SD game.

Golly . . . here in lovely northern Carroll County we have some wind and rain but nothing to brag about.

Where's Bert? Has he washed away on Gilligan's Island?
