There goes our momentum.

Clayton the Playmaker with the slip on the field.

Mason with the offensive PI.

Rice almost coughing up the ball again.

Yep, it's the 4th quarter.

Theres no way that was pi on mason... he played for the ball...

After pushing Woodson around him. That's legal in Basketball. Not in Football.

Shouldn't have put his arms around Woodson's waist, but it did not have to be called...

Theres no way that was pi on mason... he played for the ball...

It was the right call. Mason didn't even have to touch Woodson. The ball was underthrown and Woodson would have ran past Mason anyway.

Clayton the Playmaker with the slip on the field.

Look at that, going with Rice, Mason and Clayton gets us nowhere, after DWill and KWash get us back in the game. Surprise Surprise !!!!!

My buddy, who is a big Titans fan (and still bitter from the playoff win...yeeeeeeah) just sent me a text that said "Man, you guys are getting shafted on all these pass interference calls."

Even without purple goggles on, it is obvious that we're getting screwed.

Joe almost handed it off to his neck. I agree though, not a promising start to the 4th...

The PI on Mason was ticky tack.

StingerNLG
12-07-2009, 10:36 PM

12-07-2009, 10:40 PM
What a choke job by Flacco.

Again.

Sucks balls in the first half and then chokes the game away late.

1st and fucking goal at the 1 and throw an INT from the 5.

Unreal.

This offense would continue to be pure dog shit if the ref's weren't so ridiculously flag happy with the PI calls.

StingerNLG
12-07-2009, 10:40 PM
Or plant your foot and shoot the ball to the back corner of the endzone.

That was a horrible throw.

Raveninwoodlawn
12-07-2009, 10:44 PM
I can take a play where he gives one of our guys a chance at the ball. I can take a great play by the defense.

I can take a throw away...or a run out of bounds.

I cannot take a late floating duck throw against your body when the one thing you can't have is an INT.

Now ANOTHER INT by Flacco.

We all need to lay off the Flacco praise...he has played like shit over the last 8 weeks or so. At a time when he should be really taking off, he is playing like Boller.

NC Raven
12-07-2009, 10:47 PM
On the bright side, I think we uncovered a great trade target to add to our WR corps during the offseason: AJ Hawk. Just on that one play alone, he makes the top 3 in our depth chart, with a shot at one of the starting outside spots..

StingerNLG
12-07-2009, 10:48 PM
And on the other side of the ball, you see what it's like to watch a competent QB throwing to good receivers.

I wasn't going to put this game on Flacco until the last two picks. That pick at the goaline reminded me of Boller @ Denver.

The goal line pick was just bad because it was already a busted play. Flacco tried to make something out of nothing. That throw is only acceptable if we're down a score with no time left or it's 4th down. Otherwise you throw the ball away and come back for another play.

The 2nd one was all on him trying to force feed Heap. Hawk was too closely guarding him, easy pick for him.

Neither of them will. Winning isn't the point. Kicking Joe in the ass and letting him ride the bench and think about his mistakes is the point. Maybe remind him he isn't the only QB on the team? I'm still on his bandwagon but he clearly needs a wake up call.

Another checkdown.

The guys in the booth need to understand, the game is over and the Ravens know it. They aren't even trying.

This was the worst 2 minute offense in the history of the NFL.

What pisses me off more than the loss is that the team gave up. Don't anyone try to tell me otherwise. This offense packed it in and stopped trying.

And a sack.

This was the worst 2 minute offense in the history of the NFL.

What pisses me off more than the loss is that the team gave up. Don't anyone try to tell me otherwise. This offense packed it in and stopped trying.

Mson ran an 8 yard curl on that last play...i didn't even see a raven in the endzone? not that i think they could win but :187734:

Why were we throwing 5 yard outs when we needed two scores. Awful performance.

I don't want to hear about the playoffs. The playoffs are too good for us.

The rest of this season needs to be about fixing this team so we can play more than 1 friggin game of good football.

What's the point? So we can see Troy Smith complete a few checkdown passes in garbage time and have some moronic fans slobber all over him?
It's about management of personnel. I understand that some people might not be familiar with the finer points of leadership and coaching personnel.

What's worse is that none of the 5 yard outs were open.

BRING ON THE DRAFT!! It's just too painful to watch this team anymore - penalties, lack of discipline, lack of a sense of urgency, etc, etc In some ways, it looks like Billick ball.

This was an embrassment to say the least... I dont even know where to begin. This team is a joke. Play like a Raven my ass.

I cant get over the offense leisurely walking to the line of scrimmage with just over a minute to go in the game.

Like they just didn't fucking care.

Someone explain to me how this offense helps get us to 10 wins?

The way this O-line has been performing, and our lack of pass rush/pass coverage, this team is lucky to get 10 wins - I predict the Stillers will deal the final death blow on this futile season.

So should we bench Ray Lewis for the 15 yard facemask penalty that kept the Packers drive alive?

Should we bench Webb because he committed a PI penalty?

If you are playing to win the game, you don't bench Joe until he's playing so badly that no amount of help his teammates give him can save his performance. When the OL played well and receivers got open, Joe began to get into his rhythm. He made some big mistakes at the end, and he needs to correct that, but he's also just a 2nd year QB. This isn't a guy like Rodgers who had 3-4 years to learn under a master class QB, then get out and work his own brand of magic.

I get what you are saying, but I don't think "temporary benching" is the management style that will fix this team.

No single action will fix this or any other team. To each their own.

Btw, when was the last time you saw this team actually want to kick some derrier?! I have not seen any passion in a long, long, long time!

Exactly...that's just why I can't see putting Troy Smith in to finish the game as a worthwhile move.

The only change we make there is going from our best QB to an athletic, different style QB. The receivers are still struggling to get seperation, the OL still sucks, and your OC is still calling shitty plays.

It does nothing except cause controversy.

But, neither of us are the head coach, so there you have it.

Not that anyone cares, but I had Rodgers on my FB24x7 fantasy team. He scored 27.5 points which was a big enough cut into the margin to make me lose by less than 2 points overall. Now from a 7-2 record my FF team has shat itself to four straight losses and either will miss the playoffs or get in as the lowest seed. If the Ravens had played a better game (esp. if they had a lead) Rodgers would've thrown more and gotten me the win here. But I guess it figures along with everything else tonight. :grbac:

The biggest issue on this team is that it is rapidly regressing since the bye-week. Good teams are getting better, like the Packers. Even marginal teams, like the Dolphins are getting better and pulling upsets. For some reason since the break the Ravens have been unable to put together 4 good qtrs.

Face it, this team has lots of holes and needs some big changes.

Here's a list to start:

1. Find a pass rush
2. Find a shutdown CB that knows how to make a f-ing tackle
3. Get a legit #1 WR...like a Vincent Jackson
4. Get a TE that can catch a ball that is not perfectly thrown

I'm so done w/ Todd Heap and Mark Clayton
