Sadly, Rex is going to get a LOT of credit all offseason for that 19 point comeback.

The reality is...people should focus on the fact that they came 5 points short, not that they came within 5 points of making it. Because that is about what's been said of Harbaugh.

And I'm sure the argument for Sanchez will be that he found ways to pick apart the Steelers (Prevent) D.

Wake TF up people...Rex is a terrific head coach. You may not like it, or him, but he is. Get over it.

Actually, with a media that slobbers all over Pittsburgh the Jets are going to be an afterthought. No one will remember anything but they lost another AFC Championship game.

If there was a year for the Jets, this was probably it. The chances of more great regular season escapes are slim, they are going to lose some of their pieces to FA, folks like LDT and Jason Taylor and Trevor Pryce are only getting older, and everyone hates them and wants to knock them out. Not saying they won't be relevant again, Rex has succeeded in putting them in the conversation, just saying this was the moment for A Magic Run.

I agree mostly Scally...what should be noted is that the Jets played one good half of football...at the risk of sounding redundant....remember how that worked out for us several times this season...especially the last time

I don't recall us playing a half of football on offense as well as the Jets did in the 2nd half against Pitt.

Sure, we were winning 21-7. But that was because of a defensive touchdown and a short field. We had like 100 first half yards or something. Nothing to hang our hat on.

I'm impressed with Sanchez. And Rex is clearly a good coach.

I'm not unhappy with what we have either though.

I actually don't remember seeing many Ravens fans saying he isn't a good coach. He is one of us and will always be. Doesn't mean we can't hate all NY teams.

And about the devil must be a Steelers fan, my thought is this season proves there is no God.

No Kev, the Ravens offense is just not ready for prime time. Never has been, since Testeverde left, really.

Since 99' our defense has always been good enough to get the dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

But it takes an EXTRAORDINARY defense and a lot of good fortune to win a SuperBowl with an offense as pathetic as ours has been for more than a decade.

That's my main gripe with Ozzie. But how can I complain when he assembled what seems like a formidable group of offensive talent the past few years, only to see them fall apart when we need them to rise to the occassion?

God has nothing to do with that...

I remember 96 being a year of always playing behind and getting a lot of yards/points against prevent defenses. And then when the game got close, Vinny throwing a critical INT. Let's not anoint that a good offense... More action.. yes... but not a 'winning' offense.

Honestly, we've never had a legit offense than could score points against any tough D in a close game. SAD.
