Everyone was projecting the exact opposite. Instead it sounds like too many players came back out of shape and either didn't get signed or lost their jobs.

A TON of guys who were drafted within the past 2-3 years were just flat out cut.

The Patriots just cut a top draft pick in Darius Butler earlier this week. He looked like he was a fairly decent player too. Carolina picked him up.
