hope this isnt too off topic since its about the jets, but as ravens fans, is anyone surprised about this?

The New York Daily News reports that wide receivers Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress and Derrick Mason have all individually gone to head coach Rex Ryan in the past few weeks to question Schottenheimer’s system.

He did a lot of good for us, but I think Oz dumped him at a perfect time

Winning cures all...conversely, losing stirs up the pot.

This is the flipside of all those big egos in NY. Me me me type receivers.

What did Mason say? "You're not throwing it to me often enough."?

Absolutely agree, and everything in NY is bigger than it really is, well, except for Sanchezs ceiling.

Anyone else think another loss like that could start a meltdown in NY? they aren't the Giants, that tend to bounce back most of the times...the personalities in the Jets could be too much for one team to bear, especially with a subpar QB running the show.

They have to find a running game so the play action will work. When Green has less than 25 yards like last week, and they become one dimensional, it's a big problem. Same could be said for a lot of teams. Having Mangold back will help

The Jets offensive problems are not Schottenheimer's system or scheme. It's personnel and injuries. Not surprising to me that two of the malcontents are new to the team and one only has one year with the team.

How does Derrick Mason have a leg to stand on in questioning the system?

So, Rex Ryan is having the same issues in New York that Billick had in Baltimore? Who didn't see this coming?

Losing tends to do that.
It was just a matter of time before the honeymoon started to end and reality began to set in.

Everything up there has been shits & giggles because they've managed to get to the playoffs the past couple seasons.
If they lose today, and the wheels really start to come off......

While they've made it the playoffs the last 2 seasons I've felt like each season the team has declined each year... looking at their schedule I can see them not making the playoffs this year.

So three troublemakers run their mouths. You know what they say about snitches and ditches.

Except for their KR, Jets looked old & slow to me. Mason looks like he aged 5 years in one season.
