I know we do a lot of complaining around here about the NFL having out for The Ravens... but anyone notice the Steelers play back to back weeks against teams coming off their bye?

AZ Cardinals on the road next week.. and then a rested Patriot team at home.

Then of course they get us.

NFL must have it out for them, eh?

the nice thing is we play the jags after the steelers did and then play the cards after the steelers do so we get 2 beat up teams hopefully (not easy wins but i am sure they will be a bit tired)

That is the only legitimate rough patch in their schedule, having to play New England and Baltimore back to back. At this point, winning one of those games may not be enough for Pittsburgh to capture the division, because they would still be a game behind. If that one game is against New England, They would still end up two games behind Baltimore with the tiebreaker lost. If that one game is versus Baltimore, they would still be one game behind. At least, if both Pittsburgh and Baltimore hold serve in the manner we expect.

The Steelers could very well be 4-4 when we meet.

I dunno, the Cards are bad, but then again, they did just struggle to beat the Jags at home.

They gave the Steelers all their road games at the beginning. Three of their first four on the road. A rough patch that they still managed a 2-2 record which is respectable given they had a road trip to Baltimore and Houston. The Colts should have beaten them, and they didn't put the Jags away either. They routed Seattle and Tennessee, escaped with two wins, and got beaten twice.

The Ravens on the other hand have beaten Pittsburgh, Jets, and Texans by a combined score of 98-38.

Some people don't put much stock in margin of victory. A win is a win, but the Ravens are blowing everyone out. The Steelers blew out the Seahawks and Titans at home. They barely beat the Colts in Indianapolis. The Steelers only scored 17 points in two losses. They should win at Arizona, but road games can get strange.

This is where we need the Steelers to go no better than 1-2

They have a really late bye, and not a very tough looking schedule at this point.

Luckily the Browns usually always play them tough, and hopefully they have enough pride left by week 17. The Ravens struggle with the Bengals, but the Steelers have been beaten by Cleveland recently. We might need it again.

Obvioulsy we need to be at home and make Pittsburgh play road warrior. If the Ravens take care of business they'll be fine even with a loss to the Steelers at Pittsburgh.

For the Ravens it's going to be about not having a letdown vs. the Browns and just split with the Bengals. Sweeping them would be better.

The Steelers don't have an overly difficult schedule remaining except for that three game pocket of NE, Baltimore, and Cincy. There are a couple more in there like @San Fran and @ Cleveland. Four more Steelers losses seems completely realistic. Hopefully come December the Ravens are just in cruise control, but nothing is hardly ever that easy. The Steelers have struggled against scrubs though. Yesterday they struggled against one at home.

Also, the 49ers are a lot better than anyone thought they would be. I think the Steelers have to play them in San Fran, while the Ravens get the 49ers at home on a short week on Thanksgiving.
