in the last 3 games he has 19 receptions for 317 yards and a TD. he took the Cards game over in the 3rd quarter and brought in everything thrown his way. that one handed grab on the sideline was freakin awesome..!!!
looks to me like flacco has really keyed into him and is putting alot of balls thrown his way into much tighter windows than we are used to seeing. i think flacco is learning to trust boldin more and more with each new game.
boldin is becoming that go to guy that mason was. if flacco and boldin continue to progress and develop the kind of chemistry that flacco and mason had, it should make the offense quite a bit more consistent.
if evans ever comes back, i think we will be in good shape.

Just having two other guys on the field who can take some attention away fro him (Dickson and Pitta) is enough for Boldin to do some damage. Pitta and Dickson worked the middle of the field beautifully.

I agree. He is actually running a lot of go routes this year too. He isn't extremely fast but he is saavy enough to get seperation.

That had to be one of the greatest performances by a wide receiver that I personally have seen. Boldin literally carried the Ravens down field in the 3rd quarter.

He's looked great, but some of it is capitalizing on good match-ups. He had a bad mis-match yesterday, and his other big game was against a notoriously bad Texans secondary.
Against good defenses I think he needs help (other receiving threats) to be effective. Some decent o-line play wouldn't hurt either.

If the O line don't hold up, weapons won't be much good.

5 catches for 117 yards in the 3rd quarter alone, and he drew 2 PI calls in the endzone. monster performance..!!!
“Anquan was definitely the catalyst in the whole thing,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said. “They had his arm pinned down once or twice, and he still made catches. It was Anquan that got us going from the jump.”
he also gave an inspiring speech at halftime. how can anybody not consider him a #1 receiver?

You said it! He had a great game yesterday, but he still it's getting used the right ways all the time. He needs to get more slants. So than he can get some YAC( he is a tough player to take down in the open field.) I like how he is playing and I hope he keeps it up.

This.
For the record I don't think that there are many true #1 receivers in this league. Those are guys that you can throw the ball anywhere on the field and they'll get it and make a big play. Boldin is a fantastic receiver. However, IMO, #1 receivers are guys like Andre Johnson, Megatron, and Larry Fitzgerald. Those guys could be great in any offense.

Boldin is good enough that you can build a receiver core around him.
fitz/johnson/mega are the only 3 guys in the world that can do what they do.

That's always been his forte. It's nice to see that Cameron and/or flacco have finally realized he's on our team again. By the way, did I see Boldin go in motion yesterday and on a passing play?

Spreading the offense and working from a shot gun opens things up for everybody. Somebody tell Cameron.

Seems Flacco finally realized something a couple people on this board have been saying since we traded for him... If Boldin is in single coverage, hes open. He's not gonna burn by guys, but he'll win a one on one battle for the ball more often than not

Got any links on what he said? I haven't heard anything about him giving a speech.

I heard somebody say he did in an interview and also on br.com there is an article about boldin's stellar performance that says he gave a speech at halftime. It doesn't say what he said, it just says that he was one of a couple of players that spoke up at halftime.
