He'll get snatched up. Even if he is just a situational pass rusher. I really hope we keep him. Upshaw just doesn't have the explosiveness to be a pass rusher on rushing downs, but Kruger doesn't have the everydown ability like Upshaw

Agreed I Love Upshaw and personally think he could fill that DE spot on rush downs and move Kruger to OLB or have 4 down with Suggs, Ngata (at the nose), Kruger and Upshaw.

I just think we can move Kruger around a lot and utilize him. Without him all we have is McClellan and I'm not sold on him

Kruger is only good when he is one on one with a blocker. That means he needs a real pass rushing threat on the other side. It's no coincidence that Kruger started playing better once Suggs came back. You really can't offer a player like that big money. Good role player but will never be the man.

That wasn't roughing the passer. That was BS. That crap happens to Flacco all the time, but it was shotty reffing all day.

I still believe it was pretty tick-tacky. I've seen Flacco get hit a lot worse than that.

To answer the original thread though, I'd pay Ellerbe before Kruger. I think not having him today was a pretty big loss actually especially with how the middle of the field was so wide open.

Kruger has been pretty effective, but I think he really benefits from Suggs and is solely a pass rush specialist. I think some team will overpay for him next season.

THIS. To the clowns who made a thread smoking his pole, this is wat he does against even a mediocre OL. Sure a situational pass rusher against a scrub line, but even a mediocre one and he can't beat one on one.
