Pass Rush
Yesterday and for most of the season, this pass rush has been pathetic. Looking back a bunch of make shift OLines (Dallas, Philly, Pitt and Cincy) have dominated our front seven. I'm wondering why the Hamilton kid hasn't gotten a chance? Even as a third down specialist...nothing cuz it's apparent that Kruger and a sub seventy five percent Suggs are our only legitimate threats. With Suggs injured again, anyone think their hand will be forced?

Re: Pass Rush
Why is our fucking corners playing 20yrds off the got dam line of scrimmage against a qb who can't throw deep much less accurate over 20yrds?? No blitzes? No imagination? No adjustments? I fuckin wish i had a grenade to throw in that fuckin booth with that dumbass up there looking real fucking stupid letting a 38yr old qb throw all over your fucking defense, thats down right fucking embarassing!!!

Re: Pass Rush
They know the pass rush isn't there. Hence why the reports we're that we were taking Babin if he fell down to us. He didn't, but stll that shows they know it isn't there. What we REALLY need is someone opposite Ngata that demands double teams, and Jones and McPhee aint it. We also need a NT that can push the C into the QB lap on a consistant basis and Kemo AINT it, and even Cody just does it once in a while. Cody has much more upside, he just needs to get there, and quickly, but I think them playing Kemo too much has held Cody back. Blame that on the coaches.
Kruger is a nothing. Wow he can beat a substandard RT one on one at times, and a few of his sacks came from him only beating a TE. The thread about him was a joke. Upshaw is your JJ replacement, but we haven't found anyone who can replace Barnes numbers, OR Redding. THAT is gonna take our first round pick, or our 2nd. Drafting a DE/DT with the talent to get there every time if you dont double him up.

We almost need to say fck it and got Belichikian in this draft. Trade up into the first or upper second to lock up a few day one starters. We need at least 1 ILB, a 5 tech DE and a legitimate pass rush specialist or some combo of all three. Cody plays too high and gets physically dominated by even small ZBS type centers. Kemo = lmao. This guy was on the couch last year.

Re: Pass Rush
No offense but guys on the practice squad are glorified free agents. 32 teams can put him on the active, and 32 teams think he's not good enough. This Adrian Hamilton guy is not the answer.
I think they missed Ellerbee on the blitzes yesterday and Suggs just doesn't have the burst back yet. Is what it is.

Re: Pass Rush
I remember a game against the Steelers... last year, I believe, where we came out and said the plan was to keep Ben in the pocket. Basically to stay your lane and keep him in front of you.
I can't believe that would be the same game plane against Charlie Batch, but it sure looked like that's what were doing. However considering the don't do anything to lose the game mentality I wouldn't be surprised if this was the approach. We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid. - Benjamin Franklin

Re: Pass Rush
I'd have to say that the Steelers trio of WR's are far better than the Ravens current secondary. Even with that old Batch back there. All three of those WRs can run by any CB the Ravens lined up across from them. When you're that weak on the outside, you have to play soft.
This is a depleted defense at this point.

Re: Pass Rush
they knew that as well but play with some balls man this is the RAVENS DEFENSE play aggressive test batch get in his grill wave after wave of blitz keep him on his ass and toes. Pees plays just like cam not to lose. well we see how that has been working for us, Chuck P and Rex would not have let that shit happen.

Re: Pass Rush
Remember this game with Rex at the controls http://www.pro-football-reference.co...0711050pit.htm.
Granted, I think Chykie Brown is better than Derrick Martin/Ronnie Prude, but the fact remains he started the season as the 5th-6th CB on their Depth Chart...and they signed a guy off the street rather than give the 3rd CB job to Brown at first.
Corey Graham has had his moments...but he's been a backup essentially his whole career for a reason. He was their 4th CB going into the season.
Can only cover up the weaknesses for so long before you go against a team that can take big advantage of it.

Re: Pass Rush
The secondary was out of position and confused all night. Pass rush was anemic, seemed like they dared Batch to beat them. Well, that was dumb.

Re: Pass Rush
You mean this team has a pass rush?! Geez, I need to start paying closer attention....Batch looked like he was enjoying champagne and caviar last night during the final drive.
