Who do you blame it on? He is the OC and his OG got a false start. He then goes deep instead of trying to pick up 5-10. A running play for 3 yards and voila it is 3rd and 12.

It's stunning that you can't see what is in your face. Smith slowed down on a fairly thrown ball. He had his arms extended as far as they could go as he did so. He misread the ball. There is wind I believe so maybe that affected the flight but to blame Joe shows a blindness that can't be defended

For those who argue watch the play after the emotion wears off and explain why it is on Joe if you still think it is

Fo whatever reason Torrey and Joe are just not on the same page when it comes to the deep ball.

Joe either overthrows or underthrows. Torrey can't control his speed and doesn't adjust to off target throws.

I think the problem may be the receivers are taught not to run precise routes.

If a QB has to be PERFECT in order to complete his passes...then...no QB will ever be successful by those standards.

Smith should have caught the ball. MAnning, Brady, and Brees have WR's that would have caught that ball.

IMHO...both were at fault on that play.

Joe clearly underthrew the ball. Torrey didn't adjust well at all.

IMHO, I think Torrey saw that the ball was underthrown so he was going to try and slow down and push off of Josh Wilson to get separation at the last second.
