That's an odd source. Dan Patrick isn't exactly a breaking news guy. He wouldn't say this if it wasn't solid. Very curious to hear who it is.

My guess is that the O-line coach is out. But I would LOVE for them to take the clipboard from Cam.

    Re: Coaching Change?

I would guess it's someone relatively minor like Moeller or another position coach, something to try and tell the fanbase "Here, we are doing something to try and fix this." Kind of like Andy Reid getting rid of Jim Washburn a couple weeks ago...

Would be shocked if it's Pees or Cameron with three games left in the season.

    Re: Coaching Change?

I agree that I can't see it being a BIG change...the only thing I could see (if it were big) is letting Cam go in lieu of Jim Caldwell...but I'm not sure that would be a good thing.

Much more likely to see Andy Moeller go. Or maybe Jeff Hostler.

Either way, I'd be good with that. Moeller and Hostler are terrible.

My money would be on Moeller, they've been keeping that sacrificial lamb around a while, time to appease the mob.

    Re: Coaching Change?

Also, they didn't say if it was axing of a coach. Maybe they are just taking playcalling away from Cameron, but I don't really see Harbaugh calling the plays, nor do I see Caldwell doing it. It'd be a bit comical if they say Joe is going to call all the plays from now on. Kind've like "you want the money, go earn it".

Not sure why folks are automatically assuming it's someone from the offense.

The defense was downright putrid yesterday. I wouldn't be shocked if it was someone from that side of the ball. They've already moved Pees upstairs in an attempt to shake things up.

That would be epic. Not happening, I am sure they need hall passes around the Castle to use the bathroom.

    Conspiracy theory:

Read on some blog about how Dungy is on the show today; Dungy is pals with Caldwell; Caldwell told Dungy he's the new OC.

I'm not sure. It could spark the offense to dump Cam. Not just because of his play calling but an emotional spark having their source of frustration gone. I could see Flacco and Rice both having a huge game if that happened.

Defense doesn't have quality players though. Offense has much talent and are habitually underachieving

Our guess (and it's just a guess at this point): Cam Cameron out and Jim Caldwell in as Ravens O.C. Again, just a guess.

Well, Harbs was screaming at him on the sidelines a bunch yesterday. We shall see ....

    Re: Coaching Change?

I'll stick with my guess of a position coach and not get my hopes up. Seems odd the Ravens would relieve Cameron of his duties the day after, while it wasn't great, their best offensive showing in several weeks.

I agree with you HR - I think it will be someone on the Defensive side of the ball. With Bros Manning coming to town, maybe this is an attempt to "fire up" the defensive side of the ball.

Was he? I totally missed that, would have loved to have seen it. There may be saving Harbaugh after all.

This will really be interesting. They did put up 28 yesterday...

    Re: Coaching Change?

Pees is safe unless some great explosion occurred post-game.
2 of top 3 corners, Suggs, Ray, McPhee, a banged up Ngata, et al....Pees is safe.

Probably a positional guy or else someone else would be "breaking" it.
