Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
It was mentioned just before halftime in the game thread John was yelling at Cam and it was caught on camera. Anyone have the game DVR'd or could post a clip of this? It was during the perplexing 40 second 2 timeout waste of a drive.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
I went back and looked at it. Rice took the carry for no gain and then the camera went to Harbs and Cam. You could only see the back of John's head and Cam had this kind of stunned/surprised look but didn't say anything. Hard to make out what was going on.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
Preston is doing the same crap he did when Jamal Lewis was still here. Nobody would talk to him so he would go to Jamal and get "dirt" about what was going on in the clubhouse or the sideline. I guess Preston has a new "source" since nobody else on the team knows what he's talking about.

You know I used to not like Preston years ago, but last year and this year his information has been right on the money. Before he was so anti-Billick that was his agenda I could read his columns. He's pretty good actually.

Better take a seat, because I am actually going to agree with you here.
In fact, Preston has been around for so long, that I think he actually carries water for the team sometimes. This is TOTAL SPECULATION, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Newsome leaked/planted the whole protection-story to give Harbaugh cover for a decision made by the owner.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
I'm sure the FO has been just as displeased with Cam as the fans have. He really hasn't gotten much return on all those draft picks and free agent signings. When you spend that much money to put all the pieces in place you sort of expect some dividends.
I think Harbaugh protected Cam as long as he could but the straw finally snapped. I'm sure everyone would rather Cam had left on his own terms like Mattison did, but after his failure in Miami and inability to produce an effective offense here he just wasn't drawing much interest.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
Harbaugh was upset at an apparent miscommunication between Cam Cameron and Joe Flacco. I'm not sure if Harbaugh wanted the conservative call. Then again, he usually does. Then again, they were going to try the fake punt and did return to the Sugar huddle offense. Who knows.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
I really think it was Cameron. If you think about it, they brought in Caldwell to install the no huddle hurry up offense. We saw it all through preseason and obviously the season opener against the Bengals. Then, it just gets pulled back at times throughout the season. If Harbaugh wanted to go conservative, why would he even bother bringing in Caldwell then installing his hurry up system? Then, why would they use the hurry up in the very first game? I think it's Cameron pulling it back and Harbs and company finally got fed up with it.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
I believe in the article about "the team at near mutiny", it actually said that Cameron was the one asking to employ it more often. It struck me as very odd that hed be the one campaigning for more no-huddle, when hes the OC. Again, not defending Cam, but theres probably more that meets the eye on this one.

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
"Confrontational" is a good word here: Harbaugh gets in Cam's personal space, Cam tries to back away & Harbaugh goes with him. I'm not sure how hostile it is. Looks to me like Harbaugh wasn't going to let Cam go until he made his point (or got his answer).
In the absence of hard data, I'll stick with my earlier guess at Harbaugh's words: Jeebus frackin' cripes Cam, are you trying to force Steve to make me fire you???!?!

Re: Cam - Harbaugh shouting during Skins game
Not enough there to say one way or the other. The only thing I can take away from that is Harbs following Cam. Cam clearly didn't want to hear what Harbs was saying, Harbs picked up on that and moved with Cam, making sure his point was getting across.
But this wasn't the only time the camera caught a confrontation. There was a more heated one later in the game.WARNING: This post may contain material offensive to those who lack wit, humor, common sense and/or supporting factual or anecdotal evidence.
