Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
This Sunday might get ugly. Denver's punter might not ever step foot on the field. Whether our offense plays well or not probably won't matter since I doubt we'll stop Peyton much, if at all.

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
I originally was going to predict a close game. But with all of our injuries and the change in OC's and after looking at Denver's record and the fact that they are 4th in Total offense and 4th in Total Defense...
Hmmmm.. Not getting a warm fuzzy at all. Peyton goes nuts again on our turf.

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
And they've won 3 games by 6 points total (NE, KC, DAL)--at least 2 of which they should have lost. Not to mention the Miracle of 4th & 29. You can be as much of a homer as you want, but don't pretend you've got logic on your side when you ignore more than half the data.

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
Can't bet against my boys.
Ravens Offense is up tempo the entire game. Rice gets 20+ touches and Torrey has a big game - Think NE game from earlier this year. Denver is not prepared for the, 'new' wrinkles Caldwell throws at them.
Denver - 30
Baltimore - 34

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
I honestly cannot come to a good decision on this.
I think the Ravens can hang some points on the Broncos, because they're not a very good run-stopping D...so in that mindset, Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce should have a big day. If they can get those guys going, then that should open up some play action stuff...again though...no idea what Jim Caldwell has in store and how he is going to work the offense. There is a lot of pressure on him, Flacco, and Harbs right now...how are they going to respond?
The bigger issue for me is that D. Man, they can't stop Kirk Cousins...how are they going to stop Peyton Manning? I know that Peyton doesn't have the zip on his passes anymore, but he still has excellent accuracy, he gets rid of the ball quickly, and he is one of the best I've ever seen at anticipating where the receiver is going. It is a shame that he probably won't coach because that man's mind is just incredibly unique when it comes to offense. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
Peyton knows Caldwell.
Caldwell knows Peyton.
Our D is hurting.
Our O may finally be unleashed once more like at the beginning of this season.
Denver has a strong D to go with Peyton who's always killed us.
The game is at home where until recently we looked unbeatable.
But we have lost recently at home.
Man...this one is really tough to call.
Alright I'll go with 34 - 31
RAVENS

33-30 Ravens
Solely on a 49 yarder by Tucker as time expires. Caldwell doesn't shut down the O and prepare for OT like a certain other moron, we drive down and win on a long boot.

I think the players are as relieved as the fans are that Cameron is gone. I expect a fired up group.

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
If "good Joe" shows up, and Caldwell can make some effective tweaks to Cameron's offense:
Ravens 38
Broncos 35
If "bad Joe" shows up, and they turn the ball over multiple times (see Redskins game, second half):
Ravens 17
Broncos 35
The defense remains a non-factor. Winning is all on the offense (a special teams play or 2 wouldn't hurt, either).Last edited by JohnBKistler; 12-14-2012 at 08:54 AM. Reason: Subconsciously associated Peyton Manning with the Colts.

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
Sooner or later the Ravens are gonna have to overcome the P. Manning bugaboo. (Right?) Unfortunately, I think it'll come later than sooner, or at least than this Sunday. The injuries are just too much....just don't know how many "next men" are even left now to put up. Broncos, 33-24.

Re: Broncos at Ravens - predict the score
I really want to say that this game will be in the 30s for both teams, but I can't. I don't see the Ravens being able to score over 30 points in this game, which is what it will likely take to win given the state of the Ravens defense. My heart says that the Ravens will win (as it does every week), but my head says:
Broncos 34
Ravens 24
