“We got to make a freaking run,” Pollard said. “For us, man, we dug a hole. We can’t complain. We did it. We [threw] this thing away. We [threw] it away. As a team, we got to come together and we got to fix it. Everybody is talking about, ‘What happened?’ Well, what happened is us.

“We are the problem. We have to fix this issue. Everybody is talking about, ‘Well, you’re in the playoffs,’ Well, who cares? Because the way we’ve played, who cares about the playoffs? If we don’t fix it, that’s going to carry over to the playoffs. And we don’t want that to happen. We have to come together.”

Bernard Pollard has only been here for two seasons, and is an established leader in the locker room. I think he's got to be my favourite defensive player right now. He speaks utter truth here.

Same here, he is one of my favorites as well if not my favorite on the defensive side.

I really think the Ravens will win this week. However, if they don't win this week, I think they may lose against Cincy and in the first round of the playoffs. That would be bad to lose the last six straight games of the season, and were one 4th and 29 away from losing the final seven games of the season. The Ravens have been exposed to an extent, but most of that has to do with the offense. Yanda and Dickson are the only injuries on offense. A unit should not fall apart because of 1-2 injuries. The defense is very banged up, but the reason the Ravens have been losing is because the offense has not been able to score more points to compensate for the defense.

That defense is so banged up I'm not sure it can be fixed this year. We need our starters back out there. They weren't really that good with the starters. Maybe Harbs should bring in a faith healer.

Pollard has been clearly one of the best FA acquisitions in the league of the last couple years when you factor in what he makes and his impact.

I think we can still make a run but the glaring problem is stopping the run. Cody has been so bad and Kemo hasnt been much better at the nose, i think it's time to seriously look at going more undersized and platooning at the nose letting Tyson(who was a 3-4 nose at Georgia) get more snaps. Pees can call the game of his life, we can get improved pressure, etc. but it doesnt mean anything if we cant stop the run. That last drive in the Denver game was sickening to watch. I think Pees has done a solid job since moving to the booth. I think Caldwell will get us on track offensively from the wrinkles i saw in that Denver game but its time for a combo of guys up front to sack up and stop the run or it's all for not.

We have been exposed but would you rather be exposed now or in the playoffs. I'd rather is be now, given we fix our holes for the postseason.

that's what I'm saying. You got Suggs out there with a torn biceps and less than 9 months from tearing his Achilles.

I understand BP's "body is his company" but, if you want to talk the talk of being a fiery leader, you have to walk the walk.
