Dropped passes
A lot of us on here have been complaining about dropped passes, but apparently the Ravens have the least amount in the AFC North. Torrey has the most on the team at 4

Re: Dropped passes
i didnt think we had a lot just some real crucial game changing ones.
"It's like a rerun ... Everybody knows how this story ends, with us and the Steelers. It's about time we changed it, and give people something new. Right now, it's kind of like we pride ourselves on being a bully, but they're the ones that keep knocking us out of the playoffs. So they're the bully. One day you just got to say '[screw] it' and punch the bully totally in his mouth. Then they won't bully you any more." T-Sizzle

Re: Dropped passes
Its crazy because every team has their share of drop passes it just seem like teams like denver, Indy, Pitt and NE seem to make the catches that count. While the Ravens it seems we drop more of the ones that count.

Re: Dropped passes
The fact AJ green leads this and not Mike Wallace just continues to show that "drops" arent an exact science.

Re: Dropped passes
How many Targets did Torrey have this year, is what I am curious about before I make any judgement.

Re: Dropped passes
Sorry OP. I think that stat is really REALLY subjective and should be taken with a grain of salt.
These guys are professionals who are paid to catch passes. I'm not of the mindset that they are going to catch EVERY pass thrown their way and frankly if a guy catches 100 passes in a season and drops 10 passes, so be it, but that doesn't excuse it either.
Torrey has more drops than that (by my gauge of what a dropped pass is). So does Boldin.
IMO, if the ball hits you in the hands and you drop it, it is a dropped pass. IMO, if you go up for a pass and can't hang onto it as you're going to the ground, it is a dropped pass. IMO, if a pass goes through your hands and hits you in the face mask or chest, it is a dropped pass. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt
