Oher, Ngata, Pollard, Reed and Jones voted to start Probowl

Oher really? To start? What a farce. Only Jones and Pollard, IMO are deserving. Ray Rice backup.

Man, they haven't finished the voting...what the heck are you talking about?

Only fan voting is done...they may lead that, but fan voting is only 1/3 of the total.

Announcement will be Dec 26th...and I doubt all those guys make it much less start.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Yes, I know. But who in the hell voted for Oher, not Ravens fan I think.

There's guys here who'd vote for Oher including guys that wear his jersey.

    I would. I'm not an o-line doubter. It's like
    LeeAnne said, everyone played bad.

Pollard? He deserves it, would be great to see him in his first pro bowl.
    Jacoby? Certainly.
Ngata? Still a force in the middle even playing hurt, just isn't the same to us spoiled ravens fans.

Reed has had a good statistical season.

But Oher? Lol no chance, this happens every year, and he never gets in.

Leach, Reed, Jones, Ngata will start and possibly Tucker

I'd be surprised if Pollard starts. I don't think he's that well known outside of Baltimore.

Reed is riding on reputation. Better than Weddle, Byrd, and McCourty this year?

It just shows what a popularity contest the whole thing is- it worked opposite for us last year with Webb missing out to more illustrative names.

Oher wins out in the fan vote every year for the simple reason that he is one of the few offensive linemen casual fans have heard of. Even non NFL fans over here know who he is because of the film.

Pollard won the fan vote at the position, so I'd say he's fairly well regarded outside of Baltimore. OP did not clarify but that's what this is, the winners of the fan vote. I would imagine Pollard will make it since he's had a solid season and should get the backing of the players and coaches too.

Pollard has probably been our best overall player on D this year. It was a very very good signing, and we are getting him at a very reasonable price for what he offers.

All three Houston Defectors have been home runs.

No duh - movie fans. Pollard and Jones are the only names that don't strike me as "reputation votes" (at least in 2012).

Firmly believe Oher would be a Pro Bowler

I first glanced over this thread because I didn't read the full title..HOW THE FUCK OHER GOT VOTED FOR THE PROBOWL? I BET TOM BRADY AND MANNING WILL NOT BE GOING.
"It's like a rerun ... Everybody knows how this story ends, with us and the Steelers. It's about time we changed it, and give people something new. Right now, it's kind of like we pride ourselves on being a bully, but they're the ones that keep knocking us out of the playoffs. So they're the bully. One day you just got to say '[screw] it' and punch the bully totally in his mouth. Then they won't bully you any more." T-Sizzle

Pro Bowl rosters out. No Oher, no Pollard. You really need to ignore the fan voting.

Rice, Reed, Leach, Ngata and Jacoby Jones all there.

I'm surprised Reed and Ngata made it.
