Can't really be sure until he and Woodrow are done with their EOS assessment. From Rick Cimini:

This just in: Neither Rex Ryan nor Woody Johnson will be available today to comment on, like, everything. #Jets

Dirk Koetter opts to stay with the Falcons as their OC. Must not have been able to get what he wanted to move up to HC.

The Browns, Chiefs, and Eagles were all interested in him. None of those teams really have that great of a QB...so maybe that's why he didn't leave? I bet if San Diego came calling he may change his mind.

Anyone else look at these reports of Reid nearing a deal with the Cardinals and immediately think of Buddy Ryan, the last long-serving Eagles coach, who made the same move when Philly dumped him? Or is it just me?

It makes me think of Dennis Green going to the Cardinals.

Sure, but he was with the Vikings first.

It just caught my eye, that Buddy Ryan, the last really colorful coach of the Eagles, went to Arizona too.

You know... that seems to be a common thing with all of the HC's that were fired. They don't have a top QB. That's what it takes to win in this league or else you better have at least a solid QB and a solid team around him. With the QB market being so weak this year in the draft and free agency, it may be a smart move for these guys to wait one more year.

    I agree.

Funny how Koetter is a hot name right now...but his offense was never very good in Jacksonville.

Check out 2007 when they finally decided to go with Garrard full time. The Jags were 6 in points and 7th in yards. Mike Smith was the DC there at that point too. That was with complete shit receivers. Koetter is a good coach. I think he'd do a very good job with Rivers in SD.

Jerry Jones says big changes are coming, and it's going to be very uncomfortable around there for the next few weeks. ???

Rob Ryan may be on the outs. They're definitely going to look at QB. Tony Romo just can't hang in the pressure situations.

If you read the quotes, he says Romo is definetely staying. He also says something about Romo has worked with Garrett for 6 years. Maybe a change there or someone else to call plays?

This year they just had some key injuries that kind of sank their season.

I could see Romo in Minny if the Cowboys decide to part company with him. I think he'd have a fair amount of success up there. That team revolves around AP so he could simply be a quiet, but substantial improvement over Ponder.

That doesn't mean that they won't look at a QB in the draft or something along those lines.

This Jerry Jones quote made me LOL

“I’m going to spend a lot of time visiting with people outside of the organization that I have a lot of confidence in that will help us evaluate how to do the things that I know what our fans want to do, and that’s not to be sitting here at .500,” Jones said. “There are a lot of teams that haven’t been at .500, but nobody hasn’t been at .500 and spent as much cash as I’m spending.”

Now it's being reported that the Chiefs are going to give Andy Reid total control. So much for the Cards? And I guess that means Pioli is out...

If Pioli is out he has a very good shot at the Jets GM job.
