HE had to dive and the ball slipped through his fingers.

Should he have caught it? Maybe. It would have been a HELL of a catch.

But if you ask me who had the easier play there...it was Joe by far...no pressure, guy running wide open and he overthrew his man and made him have to dive.

The last part you are wrong about. He was hit as he threw the ball. Go back and look at the replay.

A severely overthrown lob into the wind is not what we needed there.

Still plenty of time and only down by a FG, but the defense is overperforming expectations and I am not sure we count on it going forward (would be nice though)
