Re: Super Bowl Road Trip Thread

It's party time. No telling when we'll get this chance again, life is short. I'm going to go although I'm not sure if I'll get in the stadium. That depends on the price. I'll be counting on ticket prices dropping before the game. I'm assured a good time just being there. Shit, I don't need my team being in the Super Bowl to want to be in New Orleans.

Living in Denver I watched the playoff tickets drop to face value just before the game, but I'm a cold wuzzy. Good move in hindsight considering how long it lasted and how cold it was.

I'm sure but I got burned once back in 2009 on a regular season game.

Don't want to take any chance with it for an experience like the Super Bowl.

$2100 seems like the median price right now. My seat mates were so ecstatic last night they didn't want to wait for the lottery. Then went on Ticket Exchange and got 6 tix for $12,600.

    New Orleans Trip Information Thread

We had a thread awhile back but here were a few suggestions near to New Orleans:

    1) Biloxi Casinos One hour drive, Hard Rock, Beau Rivage, Imperial Palace
    2) Kenner. Metairie Airport Hotels
    3) West Bank Motels Cheaper, Lower Quality
    4) Slidell Motels Half hour drive
    5) Covington Motels Across the Lake One hour drive

I am here in NOLA and happy to help you with whatever I can, and its going to be great to meet-up with y'all at the tailgates.

If any groups, or companies of 100-200 need a great place for a private party, I have a number of great places, including a few luxury venues on Frenchmen Street that I can help you with......you can reach me at levin.pix@gmail.com. I also have a place for a possible large outside private party.

Re: New Orleans Trip Information Thread

Thanks NolaRaven, this is good start and look forward to seeing the updates on this thread. I didn't win the lottery but will do my best to make it there. I'm going to remain hopeful, wait out the buying frenzy and hope to score a ticket closer to the game when prices come down a little.
My dilemma is whether to secure my airfare now (before price go up) and hope to score a cheap ticket later.

LOL. That's one thing I won't be doing unless they follow me into the stadium

Re: New Orleans Trip Information Thread

We have a group coming but plan to tailgate and watch the game in a parking lot somewhere (we have the "stuff" and can't swing the ticket prices). Had a blast in Tampa when we did it- any suggestions on where we can park, who to call if we need to make arrangements beforehand, etc.?

Re: Super Bowl Road Trip -- Post Your Travel Plans, Suggestions Etc Here!

Flying out of BWI to Jackson, MS early on Feb.1. Booked the Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel in Biloxi. Flying back home the afternoon of Feb. 4.

Have not started the process of acquiring game tickets yet. Hope to wrap that up in the next couple days.

Everything else is open at this point, but I'm sure significant time in the French Quarter will be on the agenda.

Got four nosebleeds right on NFL Ticket Exchange after the game. Sec 612.

Still working out how to get to New Orleans, where to stay, etc. Plane tickets have skyrocketed. I may either drive or fly into Jackson or Houston.

I got tickets through the Lottery and just set up the rest of the plan (by my wife's urging). Looking forward to hooking up with anybody who will be there so I can get pictures for the memories.

usually you can tailgate and park at the Dome where there are garages right, but I don't know if that is possible. I will check for you.

Great! Bringing 3 or 4 SUVs (figured that'd be easier than RV) and the top deck of a parking garage in the area would work. THANKS!
