    Re: Getting butterflies yet?

I'm nervous, but only because we're so damn close, and to be fair, San Fran is a damn good, respectable football team. They aren't as overhyped as New England or Denver, and they have a terrific coach too. Kaepernick is pissing me off a little bit, with the copyrighting of "Kaepernicking" and all, but really, this is a mirror image of our team. Strong work ethic, hard nosed, mauling...

What's funny is, going into the playoffs, I was shocked that San Fran was a #2 seed...because all I could remember was going 0-1-1 against the Rams. Seemed like they floundered more than most other NFC teams, but apparently, they were strong enough to end up where they did, and strong enough to run their way through the NFC field.

I think there's absolutely no chance the Ravens go out and flop. They've fought too far and hard to get here just to underestimate the gravity of this matchup. I think this will be a back and forth fight that will go down to the last drive or two. I guess knowing how hard it will be to get back here is the biggest reason I'll be freaking out all day.

Absolutely. I am very worried that Cora will not forgive Lord Grantham for the death of Lady Sybill. I also hope that Bates can get out of prison soon!

Or are you talking about the Ravens? nah. I have faith in Flacco. Can't wait to get going.

Surprisingly, I have NO nerves at all about this game which is unusual. Now maybe once the game kicks off I'll feel it but I'm very calm right now. I just get the sense that we're going to win this game...hope I'm right.

Not sparking a religious discussion, just want to give context regarding my beliefs.

I'm an atheist. I don't believe in higher powers or fate or destiny. But I understand why others do.

And for this game. This team. This year. I have faith. I believe in this team's destiny.

I am nervous, because this sense of inevitability is a new one for me. But on the whole, I couldn't be more ready for this game.

    Bring it on.
My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

I haven't really been nervous since the Denver game ended. Since then I've felt pretty confident. That being said the butterflies will probably be back right around the time the national anthem is sung

My wife thinks I'm crazy because I have felt nauseous for a couple days now. I felt that way before Denver also. 6:30 can't get here fast enough!

I have lost the butterflies. But I bet when they start showing the guys warming up on the field and I see all the Ravens and 49ers flags and colors in the Superdome, they'll be back!!

Nope, no nerves at all. I was nervous for the Denver game , but, was surprisingly calm before the AFCCG. Feel the same way today. This is OUR time.

Here's to a great game, no serious injuries, no controversial zebra call that affects the outcome of the game, and tears of joy on all our faces about 10: 30 p.m. or so

    GO RAVENS

I was calm watching the Denver game. After that first return for a TD, I knew it was going to be an ugly game. I think it was just I felt at peace getting to that game, and watching a great back and forth game.

I was nervous during the AFCCG. When we had that 3 and out with 10 minutes to go i was at the edge of my seat. It wasn't until the 2 minute mark and we were still up by 15 that i relaxed.

Being out in Cali, i am in the minority fan wise. I am feeling the nerves all day, and am about to head over to a friend's house who is a 49er's fan. Taking over Ravens stuff to show equality.

    Hoping for an unbelievable ending.

I hadn't had any nerves all day...but in the past 15 minutes, they are hitting hardcore.

2 hours to go, then we can play this damn thing, instead of just talking it to death.
