titus young?
Released by the Lions. I know a lot of posters really liked him coming out of the draft, maybe he could be had on the cheap.
I'm not interested though. After years of us collectively clamoring for every available WR to hit the market, I think we finally have the WR corps that we have been waiting for. I'd like to see Ozzie make every effort to extend/restructure both Boldin and Jones. No way we win the SB without either of them!
But with that said; if we can't lock both those guys up, is Young a possibility?

Re: titus young?
isn't he the guy that basically got run out of town for not listening to coaches?

Re: titus young?
The guy is a nut case and would not fit in this locker room.

Re: titus young?
I'd rather keep Boldin and Jacoby by extending their contracts if possible.

Re: titus young?
Can he stay healthy and can he fit into this locker room?

Re: titus young?
I wouldn't want him if he would play for free, would not take up any cap space, and would not use an official roster spot.

Re: titus young?
Ppl that want him are crazy. The Lions just ran him out of town, and that's a team with their fair share of locker room issues.

Re: titus young?
I think people need to maybe step back from their opinions of the young man a bit.
Here's why:
They drafted Titus Young to be the #2/#3 receiver. His rookie season he had 48 receptions, over 600 yards, and 6 TD's. Then the very next year they use a high draft pick on another receiver, in the same mold, and now Young is fighting for even less potential snaps.
We don't know what was discussed behind closed doors between the coaching staff and Young.
Jim Schwartz hasn't exactly been a beacon for professionalism. In a lot of regards, he has kind of let his guys do and say whatever they want. Detroit has been a rather undisciplined team since Schwartz got there. I'm not surprised that a kid with already questionable maturity acted out, rubbed people the wrong way, got defensive, and things just rolled downhill there.
Maybe he just needs a fresh start somewhere. Sometimes, that's all it takes. Look at Marshawn Lynch.
He's 23 years old, he's already proven that he can hang in this league (from a production stance), and he is VERY cheap for the next few years. I think someone like John Harbaugh might be able to get through to the kid, but I don't know that the Ravens would want to take the time and energy to really evaluate if this kid is worth the time.
Keep in mind, Schwartz is a Baltimore guy. Probably wouldn't be a big stretch to think that John and/or Ozzie would call him up and get the real scoop.
I don't think any of us have to worry about him suiting up for the Ravens though. We would be one of the last teams (waiver order wise) to have a crack at him and I think there are a lot of other teams who would be more than willing to claim the kid.
Miami, Seattle, New Orleans, Kansas City...lot of teams out there that would be interested in a young former 2nd round pick. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

The kid had suspension issues going back to BSU. I thought it was just immaturity issues then, but obviously it's carried over. I'm not judging, but there's no excuse for sucker punching a teammate in the face.

Re: titus young?
Maybe coming to the Ravens would be what he needs? Coming to a SB team and constant winning lockerroom could do him wonders, plus he could get a real reality check by being released. I wouldn't invest alot of $ in him. Watch NE grabs him.

Re: titus young?
Young deliberately lined up in the wrong spot during a game to try and screw it up. That's what got him kicked off the team. No way can we touch someone like that.
