I need to get me some credentials. I've never been completely happy with the questions.

    Re: State of the Ravens

I have long maintained that no NFL coach/team press conference is worth watching because they all lie like hell. The league is so competitive they simply can't tell the complete truth because they'll show their hand to the competition. I understand this and have no problem with it. I simply ignore them. My stomach has thanked me for it numerous times.

Having said that, tomorrow's press conference may be the first time in 12 years that they actually tell the truth lol.

I think you just have to read between the lines. Some ppl get upset with coachspeak, but it is what it is.

Our coach can speak whatever he wants as long as he keeps winning.

I would trade Marvin and Malaluga for Harbs.

Throw in AJ Green and Atkins and it's a deal.

We already have Leach. His bitch Maualuga needs to keep working the streets of Cincinnati.

Ozzie said they don't plan on restructuring a bunch of contracts

They really believe in the young nucleus

    Re: State of the Ravens

Biscuit didn't understand why Ozzie wanted Ed over Lito Sheppard back in 2002, he realized then he should let them do their job lol

    Re: State of the Ravens

Ozzie also mentioned he doesn't want a repeat of 2002 (Salary purge).

For all those who think the cap is going up exponentially in 2014, Dick Cass just threw cold water on that. He expects the cap to rise to only $122M.

    Re: State of the Ravens

I'm going to pound my chest a bit off this year for Harbaugh. I think we're really starting to see what a brilliant hire he was...in terms of the players responding to him, keeping a cool head, running things VERY business like.

And I was RIGHT on top of that from the moment Garrett started waffling. I knew John was the right guy.

    Re: State of the Ravens

btw, Eagles hired Billy Davis as DC today, meaning that Ted Monachino, who was front runner speculated at one point, will not be leaving.

I hope we start positioning him, I'd like for him to take over for Pees one day.

Ozzie believes they have to get better in the middle of the defense mentioning DT specifically and MLB (of course)

Mentioned that young guys haven't stepped up (Cody?)

    Baltimore Ravens ‏@Ravens
Ozzie Newsome says middle of the defense is the top need this offseason. Defensive tackle, linebacker, safety.

Haloti shouldn't be out of training camp
