basically, all that news story says is we're going white gold over yellow gold. The FB picture making the rounds is fake then, because Bisciotti hasn't designed it yet.

Best idea yet. With purple edges.

That is the patriots second ring with the ravens bird from 2000 photo shopped. I think the bird or the B or the shield would look nice in front of two large stones. For everyone asking to put 52 or lewis on the ring... That honor is reserved for the MVP.

Bullshit...somebody had a lot of photoshop time on thier hands.

I posted a link to that very ring at the top of this thread...that is the Patriots second Super Bowl ring (XXXVIII) with the Patriot logo photoshopped out and the Ravens logo photoshopped in.

Here is the Patriots actual ring...

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Has it ever even been done? I don't think anyone would ever put a single individual on the ring, because it's about the TEAM.

Just my personal opinion but the Super Bowl XXXV ring is the worst looking one ever. Hopefully no more cartoons characters in gold and diamonds.

I like the idea of having the shield on it. That with 2 Lombardis in the background.

How about the shield on top with the flag sections (top right & bottom left) in small gemstones (yellow sapphire/tourmaline & diamond/ruby) & with two large cabochon diamonds (i.e., football shaped) overlaid on the "B" and the "R"? That might work. I'll see if I can photoshop something...

Me too. I've always preferred the shield over the cartoon bird logo anyway.

The name of the MVP is on the side of most rings. Lewis was on 2000s ring

Pretty sure most Super Bowl rings are customized with the name (and for players, the jersey #) of the person to whom they are given - not the name of the game MVP.

For example, Bob Kraft was not the SB XXXVI MVP:

also, LT's ring, SB XXV (Otis Anderson was MVP)

Walter Payton's, SB XX (Richard Dent MVP)

That's why the team had to wait until this year to win it all rather than last year when HOUSHMANDZADEH would have required a ring.

Housh wasn't on the team last year....

Can you imagine what New England would've needed to do for Michael Hoomanawanui?

Have to agree. Wish the Raven had more of an "edge" to him.

    This is correct.

    They are individually customized.

Each player has their own ring with their own name and number.

Same here. Althrough I think the Raven's head looks a little better on the helmet.
