Re: Boldin says he will retire if released (Merged)
From my perspective, I think the question concerning Boldin's tenure should be, can he do what he's been doing for another year or two? Watching him on TV, it looks to me like he's showing no signs of limping into the end of the season, more that he's a strong, reliable and reasonably healthy 32 year old receiver who very likely has another two years of quality "fuel" left in the tank. It sounds as if he really wants to end his career with the Ravens, and without debating the hometown discount issue, I'd guess he (and hopefully his agent) will work with Ozzie and the FO to make something happen for the team and him.

Omg he's so classy! Joe is so classy! John is so classy! Ozzie is so classy! Bisciotti is classy too! While we're at it have you seen how classy Torrey Smith is? And check out that classy guy Rice! Also Tucker is a real class act! Have you seen Ngatas comment? Whatcha classy guy!
Seriously do football fans know any other compliments than variations of the word class? -_-

Re: Boldin says he will retire if released
Looking at the "unsettled" positions on O, I'd rank Boldin second only to a solid LT, McKinnie or A.N.Other.

Simply put, Boldin makes Flacco a better quarterback.

Jamal also had a 2K+ yard season while in purple and black. That's nothing to sneeze at. Personally, I put him in my personal ROH for the 295 yard Browns game, alone. Damn, that was fun.

Mason had pretty great single games too. And you want to talk about a team player, do you remember the Dallas game where he seperated his shoulder, yet went out and caught a TD and played remainder of the game with one arm basically DANGLING?
But again, I think he's a borderline case. I think the fact that the Ravens had the retirement press conference with him could work in his favor, as obviously we were in agreement about having it to celebrate his time as a Raven. I could see the argument on either side.
Boldin has a ring and his character over Mason. With some more stats, he moves into slam dunk category for me..
