I listened to some of it and it sounds like he's pretty much good as gone unless we can match whatever teams are going to offer him, which I don't think we can.

DJ: "Do you want to leave Baltimore?"
McKinney: "Nah I like the team but....you know"
DJ: "You need that bread"
McKinney:"Yeah"
DJ: "Do you like Baltimore?"
McKinney: "I like Baltimore but that money gotta be right"

I hope he comes back. Our O line was great throughout the playoffs. If we can keep that group intact (not sure what will happen with Birk), this offense will continue to put up big numbers.

Well IDK what to make of this... but Bmac really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Lets hope his demands aren't ridiculous.

I'm not really shocked by this.

I figured as soon as they won the SB, he would be on his way out the door to another team trying to fleece them for a ton of squeege.

This may actually be a good thing for Baltimore guys. I'm glad McKinnie played his ass off and helpd win a championship. Let's be real though...this guy is about one thing (always has been) and that's money.

He is going to go to some team like Miami or Carolina, get a ton of money, and show up to camp out of shape and possibly hurt.

Just think that if this guy would have had an ounce of ambition, he probably could have been one of the best LT's to ever play the game. He'd be up there with guys like JO and Anthony Munoz. He has that much natural talent.

Bmac is not the brightest. "the money got to be right", well thats obviously in his agents hands because hes clearly not good with money. Consider last year right before the season started, McKinnie thought he was leaving while his agent basically told him, this is the best deal well get. He came back. I dont think he has any idea what his value is, but luckily his agents seems to be aware. Not saying some team wont overpay or pay more than we wish to, but i dont think hes getting crazy money. Worst off, the more i think about it, unless its a short deal and incentive based i still feel like hell just slack off and collect his checks, so as much as i thought at the beginning of the year that he was our best choice at LT, and after he basically proved as much, im still not sure the risk is worth the reward at this point. thats assuming theres another cheap vet on the market with similar ability and a better work ethic, which might not be likely.

I fully expected McKinnie to do what got him the most money. The fact that he is willing to come back to Bmore is a plus. There could have been some bad blood after he sat all year and did not hit his playing time bonuses. His value is going to be significantly down this year because there are a ton of tackles on the market. He is at the bottom. He is only getting a two maybe three year deal. No one is guaranteeing him much.

At his age, he isn't going to command much money at all.

However, the Ravens are REALLY tight against the cap right now and will be all off-season. If they can offer BMac a deal, it won't be for much at all.

Some other team will offer him more money and he is the type of guy who will take the most he can get, even if it means playing for a losing team.

Guys nobody is giving the Ravens a home team discount in 2013. Every single free agent is looking at it in the exact same way as Bryant McKinnie is. It is what it is.

Mckinnie is kidding himself if he thinks there's a big market for a 33 year old LT. I would be very wary of bringing him on board because now that he's got his ring he'll be all about the money even more.

Yanda did. Certainly the exception. But Mckinnie isn't going to command top dollar, so the money being right comment from him. "whatever"
