Would we cut Suggs to keep Kruger?

    Florio is at it again...

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...tend-to-suggs/

Note, there's no story here from another source, this is purely Florio speculation, but he talks about Suggs having the 13 mil cap number, and if we release him post-June 1st, it'd result in a savings of roughly 6 mil this year, which would be enough to retain a Kruger.

I don't think ANYONE on here has speculated that we'd dump Suggs to save Kruger, but what's the opinion here? Certainly, Kruger is younger...but I think Suggs when healthy is more talented.

Kruger came on when he knew it was time to get paid. I just can't trust such a player.

Suggs is now likely the face of this defense, especially if Reed doesn't return. Suggs is a bridge from Ray to future players, and the Raven's way. Plus, he is just a season removed from DPOY, and probably would have had a beast season without injury. He is getting a little old, but still has it. And he has been relatively consistent, unlike Kruger.

Big chunk of $$...but with Ray leaving Suggs is now the vocal guy for our D.

This for sure. Kruger has forever been "that guy with so much raw talent." His FA year, suddenly it shows up? Yeah, maybe he'll be a beast. More likely, he'll get paid like a beast, and perform like the solid-but-not-special pass rusher he's been for the last several years. You don't cut a guy like Suggs for that. You say "Thanks for stepping up and helping us win a SB, good luck in your future endeavors" and hope he finds success somewhere else cause he's a classy guy.

Yeah no shit, Suggs is a former DPOY, Paul Kruger is coming off his first season as a starter.

Seriously you gotta just stop reading that site. Please don't anybody click the link. I deleted PFT from my bookmarks a few weeks ago and don't miss it one bit. It's garbage.

Remember folks. At one time, we paid magazines for content. If it sucked, we canceled, and they lost money.

Now we have webistes. Websites don't sell content to subscribers.

    They sell clicks to advertisers.

Don't like PFT or Florio? Don't click. Every click is a reward for them.
No one likes us, and we don't care.

If Adrian Peterson can come back from an ACL injury only having less than a year to recover and win offensive player of the year, Suggs can do anything with more than a year of recovery from a tendon rupture (after already playing half the year anyway).
