I thought that Egghead was pretty funny, because he would actually talk as if he were an egg.

One day somebody apparently mentioned an egg slicer and you didn't see him for weeks. He liked to come on the board after a few drinks and one night we had a conversation about him being an egg. I forgot what I asked him, but he was like: "Are you kidding me? come on man, look at my legs". lol You had to remember his avatar to understand.

There was one move that Raidersofthelostark didn't like, drafting JaMarcus Russell. I think he referred to him as 'Fat Bastard', and continued to do so when, at one point, he believed it was the reason the Raiders went on a winning streak.

He was also a member here and at Ravens Insider/Scout, under slightly different names. Run off from both places.

He may have also been the Old CFL Fan on the original Sunspot message board, who bragged about fragging officers in Viet Nam and had threatened our Paulie (who no one would want to mess with).

A huge part of me misses the Old sunspot forum. There were times where i would just bust out laughing randomly because of all the funny postings that went on in that forum. There were so many characters, lol it was addictive. Its nice to post with civility on here, but man the old sunspot was just something else.

Never posted to much in the Ravens Section on sunspot forums to many anoying personalities as you all have mentioned lol but was a regular on the Oriole section.
Someone mentioned GhostOriole who was a legendary crotchety pessimist. If he won the Big Game Lottery that dude would have been bitching about having to to hire an account now to do his taxes....that kind of guy

He was. I don't get it either. I would have liked to seen his reaction to Cam getting fired. That would have been classic.

You really think we ban people for having a differing opinion?

When someone screws up, two things happen -- they receive an infraction / warning and the post gets removed from the thread.

Unless you're the person reporting to us the problem post, you're never going to see the offending post.

Regardless of whether he was right or wrong about Cam, I would suppose the fact that he spammed just about every other thread with Cam comments, regardless of whether they were germane to the topic of the thread, and that he started multiple Cam threads, when there were already plenty of Cam threads to post his thoughts (including those already stared by him) might have had something to do with it.

I'd guess his banning had nothing to do with content/message, but everything to do with style/behavior.

Maybe his family tree included Cassandra some branches down--who could predict the future but was cursed by the gods to never be believed.

But that's not quite the case. Most of us agreed that Cam was a major reason for the offense's woes. It was rharris' extremism & obsession that annoyed the crap out of me (& I speak only for myself here): Extremism, per his willingness (right there in his sig) to throw an entire season away in order to be rid of Cam. Obsession, in that whenever he started or showed up in a thread his all-consuming interest was to bash Cam, & he would twist the discussion around any which way he could to that end. (After I relegated him to Ignoratory I'd occasionally see he'd posted in a thread that had fook-all to do with Cameron & have a peek [NB--a nice feature Sunspot lacked, thanky kindly Tony] for no better reason than wondering how in the hell he was going to get there. He never disappointed--or should I say, he always disappointed.)

Then again, he wasn't banned for annoying the multitudes with his posts. (I know at least one other poster here who'd be long gone were that the policy

.) Presumably there were other reasons. I'm guessing he took some of the criticism personally & responded in kind...but how would I know? As HR notes, unless you report an abusive post you have little chance of ever seeing it.

I think of those stories about how people with brain tumors can change personality completely due to a brain tumor & then change right back when the tumor's taken out, & I wonder what sort of poster rharris would be with the overhead Cam unbolted from his transmission...
