Did you know...?
That Joe Flacco is the tallest QB to ever win a SB?
I remember a discussion a while back and we were talking about how it seemed that there was a (completely arbitrary and nonsensical) correlation between a QB's height and SB success. At the time, Peyton hadn't won yet...so guys like Brady, Ben, Favre, Elway, Young, etc were shorter than 6'5".
Stupid, I know.
I don't know why that popped into my head, but it did. When it comes to quarterbacks, don't pay attention to stats; pay attention to guys who make crucial plays at crucial times. -Gil Brandt

Re: Did you know...?
I thought Big Ben is 6'5" and that is who Flacco got compared to a lot when talking about tall QBs.

My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

Re: Did you know...?
Somehow I missed this, but did you know . . .
. . . that the Ravens are the first team since the 1994-95 Dallas Cowboys to lose the conference championship game one year and come back and win the Super Bowl the next year?
At least I think that's what I read somewhere.

Re: Did you know...?
Flacco is tall?
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T
came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Did you know the Ravens are the FIRST team to beat the legendary 49ers in a Super Bowl!!!
AND...The first team to intercept a pass from said team in the SB!

The height thing sounds ridiculous, but that's how scouts think.

According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
