    Did you know...?

That Joe Flacco is the tallest QB to ever win a SB?

I remember a discussion a while back and we were talking about how it seemed that there was a (completely arbitrary and nonsensical) correlation between a QB's height and SB success. At the time, Peyton hadn't won yet...so guys like Brady, Ben, Favre, Elway, Young, etc were shorter than 6'5".

    Stupid, I know.

I don't know why that popped into my head, but it did.

I thought Big Ben is 6'5" and that is who Flacco got compared to a lot when talking about tall QBs.

Actually at the combine he measured 6'6 and 7/8ths of inch tall. He's as close to 6'7 as you can get.

He is actually like 6'6" and 7/8.

So, when he first wakes up in the morning, he is probably ever bit of 6'7".

Somehow I missed this, but did you know . . .

. . . that the Ravens are the first team since the 1994-95 Dallas Cowboys to lose the conference championship game one year and come back and win the Super Bowl the next year?

At least I think that's what I read somewhere.

    Flacco is tall?
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

And? The point is valid. I vividly remember people saying flacco was too tall to be a good qb.

Did you know the Ravens are the FIRST team to beat the legendary 49ers in a Super Bowl!!! AND...The first team to intercept a pass from said team in the SB!

No. He's actually about 4'7". The towel boy is tall, however, and Flacco is wrongly being given credit for the towel boy.

Flacco has never done anything to help the Ravens win anything.

The height thing sounds ridiculous, but that's how scouts think.

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
