Complete Smoking ban at M&T/OPACY

Doesn't affect me but for some, those games are going to seem awfully long now

The Seattle stadium has a similar ban. So they installed a fenced off walkway leading to an outdoor section about 100' from the stadium. Smokers still have to miss a lot of game in order to go out to puff one, but at least they don't have to go 4 hours without a slug of nicotine & tar.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T
came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

No complaints here.

Awesome! Can't stand walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke when going through the smoking sections as is. Yes, this is going to be rough for some, but OTOH, it also improves the environment for us non-smokers.

Oh man. As a smoker, this makes me groan. But I get it. I actually didn't know you could smoke in The Vault, lol. I just assumed it was banned anywhere public.

Smoker here too, although I rarely go out to smoke during Ravens games..
Only thing I'm wondering, up on the Upper Deck on the ramp, how is that any different than being "outside the stadium"
It's wide open space..and hell I've seen people in the last rows lighting up in the stadium!

What the heck? Further feminization of America. Ah for the good ol days at Memorial Stadium when you could light up a White Owl or a Camel and nobody said a word. Yeah, you non smokers are okay with this. Well, just wait til they come after your hotdogs.

Re: Complete Smoking ban at M&T/OPACY
If you haven't had to deal with second hand hot dog (or pizza or nachos), then you haven't been to enough games. At least once a year since the beginning, someone will spew chunks on the concourse, or in the bathroom sink, or on the steps halfway up the section. It's a fact of life - young "rookie" drunks who don't know how to pace themselves at tailgates are usually the culprits.
As for the cigs..I'm an ex-smoker which we all know makes the smell 10x worse.. I must admit the cloud of smoke at halftime has gotten out of hand, especially on the narrow concourses behind the upper end zones (I'm in 509). You walk out at halftime to stretch a little and it's like being in an enclosed airport smoking lounge similar to the fish bowls they have in Atlanta where you can barely see the people inside the cloud of smoke.

Memorial Stadium smelled like a gigantic smoldering ashtray on game days. My dad smoked like a chimney and he would light right up in his seat along with about 80% of the other adults at the stadium during the late 60's through mid 80's.. Ahh, the smell of spilt National Premium mixed with White Owl and El Producto. I can still smell it to this day.

Smoking is one of the most disgusting things on the planet, so I'm all for this. If people want to kill themselves slowly by smoking, more power to them, as long as they don't do so in public around kids and people who don't want to breath in that shit.

) smoker, as long as they provide an area for smokers it shouldn't cause any problems for anyone.
